Saw Thin Lizzy many times in St Pauls in Raheny -- fairly magic it was!!

V interesting again folks.. Even my alky aunts didn't drink til later in life, like when they were my age they were too busy rearin their families.

I remember sneaking drink into underage (dry) disco's, how sad, and I wasn't the only one.

And I had no beatles nor thin lizzy to go see either:upset: A-Ha just weren't the same!!

Ah - well like most here, I loved the freedom that grog gave me from my personality defects --- and in truth for most of my drinking life it was a good servant to me --- scary tho how suddenly it seemed to go pearshaped....
I used to think I would be so much more fun/ relaxed with a few drinks. However, looking back it made NO difference I still was the same shy etc. person

MrsA- drink didn't make me any more sociable at all, still woulda been the quiet wan sittin in the corner. But I did/do have a major problem with feeling self-conscious to stupid proportions really when I look at it, but drink did help that feeling disappear

I think we did it to block out our self conscious/stupid feelings. What were we thinking??
