Oh and JC's tip for the next few weeks. Don't stress the eating thing. You're body is prolly crying out for food when it's been used to getting it's calories from alcohol. Luckily once we've given up the poison we've got the rest of our lives to concentrate on our bodies.
Afternoon Jackie Thanks for your suggestions and thoughts ...I will definitely take them on board.
That's a very good point, sweetie. It's their problem. A lot of folks are uncomfortable when they're drinking AL and they see someone who isn't, but recovering alkies shouldn't feel the need to justify themselves if they choose to remain sober. Satz...maybe you could turn the question round and say "why are you drinking AL?"
Enjoy your day in the garden, piddlepants

When I was drinking I was constantly worried that people were silently judging the amount and talking about it behind my back, never bothering to mention I might have a problem. Now they are confronting out loud about your AF drinks!?! Seems a bit backwards, doesn't it? I would have to come back with a sarcastic, slightly rude response like "Yes, soda water, is that OK with you? I was going to order the 'bucket o' moonshine' special but I wanted to save something for Friday night." to make them realize that their comment is inappropriate and really what I drink is none of their business. Grrrr.
