It's lovely here this morning - bit cool alright tho - mind you, the older I get the more I enjoy our 'moderate' weather - too hot or too cold just shaggin EXHAUST me!!!
Must go make coffee and think bout this pie --- back in a couple of mins ----- well I'm only 'thinking' bout it:H:H:H
Morning molly Yep, my next session's tomorrow. Have to negotiate lunch with my brother today first and then maybe start thinking about a quit date.

I'm with you on the moderate weather thing. Definitely don't like the cold, but not particularly keen on the hot either.

Off to get another coffee. Shepherds' pie would be perfect comfort food in these temperatures.

mollyka;1511644 wrote: Ah - just meet the brother - and be grateful that YOU don't think like that - it's a horrible way to be - seeing the bad in everything - but it is just a mindset (Joe is proof positive of THAT) and it doesn't have to drag you down -- close your eyes 5 mins before you meet him - let your head clear and breathe consciously for a few mins - it really does relax me anyway - just let it all go over your head - you might even enjoy yourself!!!
QUIT DATE ----- well THAT'S music to my ears -- such a different place to where you were even a month ago -- prolly seemed nigh on impossible at times to even contemplate it....... I'm very excited for you -- it'll be a new life - and yeah - I know there'll be bad times and hard times and 'fuck it' times --- but everyone has those --- well outweighed by the relief imo - of reclaiming a life:l
Shepards pie is now MADE --- I procrastinate so much we could have ended up with chipper grub tonight!!!!
Bloody hell molls...that was quick with the pie!!! I haven't even done yesterday's washing up yet, never mind tonight's dinner!

I should prolly qualify what I meant by a quit date. I'm defo not committing myself to long term sobriety at this stage....I really can't think that far ahead and it's far too big a commitment for me at the moment. I'm simply aiming to get a couple of weeks AF under my belt and then see how I feel about things and see what kind of support is available and so on. I'm still taking it ODAAT basically, but with a short term goal of a couple of weeks AF.

Yep, you're dead right there molls, a month ago a single day without alcohol did seem like an impossible goal.

It's good to hear you're both improving Jackie, but take it easy and don't try to do too much until you're ready. I trust Jenny is looking after you well?
