Been a bit out of the loop here, tired.. lots long hours. Few wins this week tho so can't complain. More overtime tomorrow. Need the cash to pay for heat!!

Progress for moi this week:
Did battle with school, kept cool, sought support and went in assertively.. feel proud that I've built some support peeps into my life so can get reality checks.. not melt down in isolation like the old me.
Overall a positive week to report.
Am still feeling bit stupid here as attendance is choppy but doing my best and appreciating you all.

Getting that outside support is handy when you don't often have anyone to bounce the big issues orf. I'm going to do a similar thing with some work issues I have. Just to get an independent perspective on my thoughts about some things. :new:

Have you heard of Menslink? They are an awesome community. Wish I could get out and fundraise and get them national. Been such a huge support for me and my boy.

All the boys and men in the program are wonderful human beings.
I've been to public meetings where they seek support and many assume all the boys will be 'troubled' or 'anti-social' but you know, they are all just wonderful boys who have missed out on heaps. Once they get involved they just blossom. I can't believe how sweet they all are. Just starved for love and approval from older men. That is missing in todays fractured families. Plus in most schools all the teachers are women.

Re perspective support, I've really started building that in all areas now. It's a massive change for the better

I do that with a couple of worldly friends, but my work stuff requires an ear that's in the loop.

hi all
well, I am off to the shop, went back to work last night to build some carts for marching band.....took kids to dinner. Cindi, my daughter sees a counselor and a psychiatrist, they tell me shes gonna have to work her way through it.....Happs, yard is looking good. Is Lamp still on the 5-2 diet or is it 7-2? I've been thinking of trying it..gotta get moving here, its payday..
