          Morning Techie and y'all to follow,

          Aspy, the symbolism in that clip has got me pondering to be sure!

          Well, the blues thrashed the hapless Queenslanders in the rugby last nigt. On a personal level, it was great to see a bit of biff and great to see Mal Meninga still getting around. Mal and I were seeing the same sheila at one stage, as were Frank Hardy and me when he was with us, years ago now. There's some goss!

          I note our treasured friend the beautiful Ronnie is back on the boards. Hi Ronnie!

                Great photos Aspy. 3 1/2 years ago I'm betting footy night was just all about the beer and you could barely remember it. Now it's a lovely family occasion that the kids will remember all their lives. Nice one.

                Now I'm impressed with your gorge there Techie. Maybe it was worth Injury No:46 (yes, let's start numbering them)

                Well I have finally got a bit of wiggle room in my day today. Loads to do and we are adding through dog and cat hair here, but determined to cruise today.

                    thanx bridgey, i hope they remember if fondly, all i recall of their age in my grandad sipping beer and listening to racing on transistor radio.

                      I have exactly the same memory of my Grandad.
                      I've been thinking a lot lately about the impression that the boy will have of me as he looks back in his own adulthood.
                      There's no sense pretending it will all be positive but hopefully he will recognise the strength it took for me to clean up when I decided to, and that he was one of the main motivators in that.
                      If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

                          Happs.... by this time tomorrow we'll be g having lunch. I won't be eating fast.... I have an infection from the extraction the dentist did a few weeks ago... face a bit swollen and tender. On amoxycillan. But I bet I' look better than Techie.
