G, I'm wanting to hire a car for a week and drive from bottom of nsw to bne with two big dogs and 3 big kids. Messy and should take about 11 days round trip. With allergies these days am scared nobody will hire me a car.

Well, I think the same way now and then. Sometimes I really want everyone here, and in my real life to ask about me.

Sometimes they do, often times they don't, but this does not mean people here or elsewhere don't care about me. I have wondered this in the past, but my conclusion is that people do care as much as they can, and this level of care and asking about me, varies a lot, which doesn't mean folks don't care. People care as much as they can handle, and sometimes that might not be much as they may need that self care themselves.

Why tell the hire company you're taking dogs? Is there an insurance issue? Surely you can get around that? The hire co. will completely clean car upon it's return anyway.

I care about everyone here that i have known for ages.. there are times I dont say so enough.. that's usually because my own shit is falling apart and I don't feel worthy.. personally.. to think that ymy support is of any value or interest to anyone. Look, it's the same convo every year for me. Liz rings, usually around Feb/March, (always 3.15 a.m. on a sunday after I suspect she's had a couple of sherries) and tell's me she wants my name on the list. I always tell her the same thing. Look Liz, thanks, but no thanks. There are many, many other far more worthy souls out there doing incredible things in the frontline.
