One Step at a Time - June 2013

Thank you for the prayers. His partner will update my cousin after the surgery. His leg was black. I saw a picture. I just don't know if they'll be able to save the leg or if he will survive the surgery. He just got out of the hospital after 10 days. He had gained 18 pounds and sounded better. Our family is just reeling.

He is out of surgery. They have saved the leg for right now. They are going to monitor it to see how much skin dies. Lots of risks involved right now - his blood number is a nine. Normal is one. (Not sure what blood level they are talking about) He is still very thin and giving him the plasma to thicken his blood is dangerous. Worried about infection. Plus the HIV complicates everything.

It's just hour by hour right now.

More prayers going your way Nora and especially to your dear family member. Let's hope the medical profession can work some magic right now.

          Sending prayers your way Nora!

So the doctor said they can't "write me out"... What they can do is set up a lot of restrictions (like no standing or walking) and then let my work decide what's best...and thankfully my flip floppin boss said I should just stay home. I could tell by the tone of her voice that she's not happy about it. My next appointment is next Monday with the podiatrist. Then I will find out more (I hope).

Mama- feel better! I hate the bubble gut!

FT- I'm glad you had a good Father's Day...your son is lucky to have a sober you

P.s. I just saw the Man of Steel movie and all I can say is HOLY SMOKES HE IS HOT!!!!!!!!!

Nora I'm so glad your cousin has had some positive news, even if the situation still sounds very dire. I'll continue my prayers for you. :h

K9 you should come and see my Dr. It's been nearly 11 months and I'm still not fully back at work.

Mama - how's the funny tummy honey? Did you end up going to the Dr?

FT - belated happy fathers day! Your son is very, very lucky to have you as a dad!

Hey FT - hope your birthday is going great. Mama, you've got some interesting characters over at the apartment complex/work area, hope the crackhead incident went without incident. Things going well here since I decided when I woke up this morning that I'd put my head in the sand and just ignore the world for today. It's amazing how peaceful life can be when you turn the cell off and go for a long hike with no interruptions. Amazing!

                        Sorry Mama,

Maybe it's best to let her go during the probationary period, it doesn't sound like it feels right and will certainly be more difficult later with unemployment issues/wrongful termination lawsuits. Not to sound paranoid but I'm part owner of a business that has had to deal with it. It completely sucks! You need people that help you not detract from your ability to get your job done. Drama at work is so unpleasant and unnecessary.

Happy Birthday FT - 57 is still a spring chicken, especially if you don't put poison into your body!

Mama good luck with your pesky assistant. Allswell's probably right, the longer she stays the harder it will be to move her on.

Nora - how is your cousin going?

I have another dentist visit today, this time to have a molar extracted. It's cracked so badly they can't do anything else with. I hope that's the last of the dental stuff for a while, it's cost me thousands of $$ over the last few months.

Also, I'm going back to the Dr tomorrow and think I'll have to stop the Zoloft. It's been nearly 3 weeks and still having severe toilet troubles. Not sure if that should have settled down by now.

FT - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! I hope you had a wonderful day. :h

Mama - I agree about the assistant. Just makes it harder later when you have to get rid of them. Hope you're feeling better.

Glass - In my opinion it is worth trying a different anti-depressant. Like I said before, I had to try 3 before I found one that I could tolerate. (Celexa. Now, I take Lexapro which is related to Celexa) Good luck with the dentist.

Pauly - great job on not letting it turn into a bender. That is excellent. :goodjob:

                                K9 - how's the foot?? I hope you're taking it easy.

Allswell - your day sounded wonderful. Just get away from it all for a bit. :l

                                Juja - where are you??

JDG - How are you doing today? I've been thinking about you.

Hello to all that are dropping by. :wavin: I know that some people just read and don't post - so a special call out to you!!!!:h
