Think I'll head up the stairs - safer away from the fridge.

Why wouldn't you make a song and dance ya daft yoke!!! I felt 'proper' sober at 6 months - it was a really big milestone to me (so big I did it twice) --- well done again, what do you feel about it - in other words SPEECH!!!!!!
Right now am zonked :H There's blurb on the Stella thread.

Yeah, i feel proud that i got here and have to pinch myself that I made it. I keep thinking back to the first days and intial, say, fortnight (especially of the first quit) where I was like - FECK, I'm 6 days sober! or, FECKERS! I'm 2 weeks sober. And now... well... it's just becoming a new norm!

I can only speak for me, but I think i speak for many here when I say, we CAN all do this. It takes the self to say I CAN AND I WILL, and then to DO IT, but there is MASSES of support - whether that is here, or with AA, or counseling, or docs, or going into clinics... it CAN be done. Whatever your own personal relationship with AL. I know I could not have done it without many here at MWO who have been massive in working this with me.

And I know this is always somewhat controversial to say here, but I do believe that the most important thing we can do here is CHANGE our relationship with AL from abusive to one where we are free from that abuse. For most that is an AF life, for a few here it's a moderation, and for others it's something else. Whatever it is, as long as it is positive, as long as it is not abusive, debilitating and life-destroying, that change is good imho.

Back to dick jokes everyone :H:H

(shouldn't have asked me for a speech)
