Yeh - it was a shite day tbh --- I was prepared for her going back, but Joe only just realised that she actually isn't coming home - she's like gone for good 'cept for holidays, he was desperately sad all day - bit better today tho - and it was my mums 5th anniversary - as her death was the catalyst that led me into true alcoholism - it's always a poignant day - more so yesterday tho ---- anyway I'm grand today - it was Jamie's birthday party so just home now
Awwh...lots of stuff for the two of you to be mulling over there, molls. I hope you'll both be able to deal with it ok. It can't be easy. :l

Well, I've settled upon a walking trip along the North Wales Coastal Path from Prestatyn to Bangor the week after this coming one, weather permitting. Reckon Prestatyn's near enough to whizzy that I could give her a little wave. I bought a couple of maps this afternoon and I'm really struggling to read them, even with a feckin magnifying glass, so I reckon there might be the occasional unscheduled detour here and there.

Apparently it's about 60 miles molls, maybe 4 days with a full rucksack and tent, after taking into account how unfit I am. Prolly take the bus or train back, but walking back is an option if I was so inclined .

I used to be dead handy with a map when I could see the bloody things properly Jackie, but those days are long gone. Good thinking re Google Maps, but I'm afraid the resolution would be too low. :upset:

Edit: actually, maybe the resolution isn't too low, but Google Maps doesn't really show footpaths and geographical features and the like, so unfortunately it still wouldn't work.
