morning all.
I bought wifey a bottle of vodka a few days ago, on Saturday actually.
I have been the drink mixer of an evening and been having huge fun trying to increase the strength of her drinks slowly so she don't notice.
It is tacking a ridicules amount of time to Finnish this bottle.
i actually got her up to two nips in a tumbler of coke zero( about 1/3 of what feels "right" to me) on Monday night, then last night she spoils my fun and declares, "oh, not tonight honey i don't feel like a drink".... bloody weirdo normals i will never figure them out
how am i suposed to take advantage of her if she is such a light weight?

Hi Undies. Just a very somber day here. The devastation and loss of life has had a tremendous impact on everyone in the state. The fire that took the lives of nineteen firefighters still rages out of control. There are several other wildfires that now threaten areas closer to home. It is so hot and dry. We had a dust storm last night that has left the valley full of particulates and the air quality is extremely poor. We need rain and we need it now. The monsoon has not happened due to jet steam Today will be another scorcher.

In regard to the Canyon trip, several folks have dropped out concerned about air quality, the high temps, and the threat of more fires in the north country. There are several burns continuing just south of the North Rim. While I think the trip is still a go, I'm very concerned about lighting. I tend to like my electrostatic discharge in bed rather then hiking with aluminum trekking poles

Well I'm normally not on this early in the morning but I was just reading the latest New Scientist while having my caffeine hit and came across a very disturbing article on page 45. Any Undie who can get to a newsagent and get hold of this weeks' NS, please do so and read the article. (I am doomed by the way).

No Saucy I do NOT. However, Lady V is vacillating due to the rapidly declining conditions and her need to meet this challenge. Me? Well I'm all jackass so I'm in :H Seriously, we may cancel the whole thing. People are dropping out and the heat there is off the charts. I heard 120F + on the canyon floor. It is simple not safe.

Well, I'll join you Missy and Raggsy on the July wagon...I am having good luck with my book Tao of Sobriety....Techie, big hugs your way. I saw that on the news...maybe you and V could fly out and have a nice hike somewhere else??....Tomorrow is my youngest 15 bday...she and her sis and a friend are sitting here playing board games at my suggestion...so glad to see them away from the pc and phones....they seem to be having a great time, and do not mind that I am sitting nearby...
