          Yep - sink sisters indeed.

          I have one of those combustion (or whatever) doover lacky ones which gives me the irrates. Glass top thingy, touch and go, has to have spesh saucepans....you know......a pain in my n.e.c.k.

            That's a most interesting aberration effect in the second photo Techie.
            The painting is called lady on horseback with three companions and bollocks. Sorry, I meant bollards. circa 1874.

                Shit, really? We were looking at induction, but it was too pricey. You are the second person I've come across who has one and doesn't like it. I thought it would be the ants pants with instant heat control, but scratched glass would send me nuts.

                        Don't go the induction. It's a pain to clean, it's precious and hard to control. I'm not a kitchen goddess (but am in other areas) so I may be just not using it to its potential.

                              Ahhh, pain to clean was one reason we replaced the Ilve..... obviously designed by a bloke who never sets foot inside a kitchen, let alone cleaned one.

                              The hotplate bases are all individually made and screwed to another base. Impossible to take off unless you were a gasfitter. Huge glug trap.
                              Expensive mistake on our part.... if only I'd lifted the trivets in the showroom before we bought it we'd've seen the problem.
                              Oh, and another irritation. The turn on thingys were opposite to the hotplate, so the right hand thing lit the left hand rear hotplate. After 3 years I still lit the wrong hotplates.




                              Oh dear...... Nicey and I are reduced to kitchen talk......
