    Heeellllloooooooo!!!!!!

Been soooo busy. Birfdys, working, walking, sunning, dreaming, raining.....

Glad to see everyone well and functional. It's impordant to be functional. Wellness is also impordant but functional is paramountly impordant in my view.

Watched Flight on Satdy night......ok......fairly predictable.

Weeded and planted in the rain on Sunday - just beautiful!!!!

Techie - please keep in mind that safety is impordant......

Did you know that by adding 'just sayin' doesn't render insults invalid! Just warnin'.......

Tawny - I was so cold this morning I couldn't smile for fear of cracking me face off.

    Salute to Mr G.

Hey Bridge - I bet you wish youf trackies didn't have a hole in the bum no it's freezing!

Hugs to Happs, Missy, Blondie, Cakes, Rags, Cori, Reggie me mate, Naught Boy Aspy and anyone else I love but have forgotten.

I think it would be better for everyone if there was no hole in my tracky dacks Noicy:H

Just thinking about Froglette's very well written article. Undies, is it better to know or not know about these things????

Err on the side of caution Techie. It's just not worth it. I'm sure you can find a plethora of other ways to add to your injury list while conditions right themselves.:H

Missy it's good to have you back. I think you four would make a great little challenge group. Great way to be fighting fit for spring.

Aspy are you trying it on with that woman?:H

I'm off to do some Googling on Cakes' nutrition tome.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Holy heck ... there's NO WAY I'd even consider hiking in those conditions but, as we all know, I'm sane and Techie's not.

As a mark of respect, the CFA (Country Fire Authority) in Vic. are flying their flags at half mast and I assume the other states are also doing same. Such devastating stuff.

Bridge - I'd rather not know.

Aspy ... seems you've been sent to the Naughty Corner. :H

I can't for the life of me fathom why Reggie goes into deletion frenzy every so often.

Go the fab July challengers. Give 'em heaps, girls.

Kipflers not in yet - will advise when.

Am using an Organic mob in Maleny QLD- lovely stuff but they need Bridgeee to tidy up their website. Just sayin'.

BUT if I did know while he was still alive, regardless of mental state, he'd wish for a quick d.e.a.t.h!!! Just sayin........:h

                You're on girls.
Perfect timing for a challenge this end. Already have spuddy bags. I'm going the Dutch Creams. Man, they are the nicest mashed spud I've ever had.

Just caught the news about those poor American fire fighters. How absolutely hideous.

Re 'knowing' or 'not knowing......I'd always want to know. I need to know what's going on and what I'm into. It's been a struggle for me because some of you might remember a moral dilemma I had some time ago where I 'knew' some stuff about another relationship and didn't know whether to tell. But I reached the conclusion that just because I'd want to know, doesn't make it right for me to make that decision for somebody else. Once the info is out it's too late to retract innit?

I just wish people would be bloody honest in their relationships. Lying and deceiving is just awful.

Ditto for not wanting to know. I felt great pain for the woman; I wouldn't be so stoic!

Been reading lots on nutrition and brain too (seems to be a lot re dementia in the spotlight recently) and am ploughing through Nutrition and Mental Performance. I think I am doomed, but...

I see you've now used up your annual emoticon quota, Tawny Not sure we can get a great variety of potatoes here thanks to the monopoly that is Western Potatoes.

Techie - I agree the trip sounds a bit treacherous at the mo (though it would be good practise for any future covert downunder trips )

Well, beautiful sunny 21 degrees here so a brisk walk to dislodge any amyloids in my brain ...(How Exercise And Other Activities Beat Back Dementia : Shots - Health News : NPR)

xpost Bridge - I'd certainly want to know whilst they were still alive, but after...? No way, it'd eat away at me without being resolved.

This is how you do it .. You go to the local Bowlo and get a $10 lunch special. The cashier then gives you a drinks voucher for either a glass of beer, wine or soft drink (but not orange juice). You take it to the bar and order a pepsi Max (no ice) and they not only give you a middy of pepsi, but two one dollar coins (which they hope you will put through the pokies). I pocket the $2, have lunche then back to what I was doing then come home. Zumba is in 45 minutes time and costs $3 a time. I already have $2 from lunch so Zumba costs me one dollar. How good is that!! And I get to do it again on Thursday. :H

.Hey it looks as if a whole heap of people want to stop drinking here..... maybe if we got enough of us together, we could start up a website for problem drinkers.

I would also probably knee him in the groin occassionally and say you wanted her to do WHAT???!!!!
and be thankful he was asking her to do it and not me......

OK Undies, out of here and zooming to Zumba.
I should take a video of me doing it and put it on youtube for you to have a laugh. However, (I put that in because I know Bridge hates "But" and "And" starting sentences ) I've dropped 1.5 kilos since 17th June, and going to get better in July but.

Bridge, the one thing I really, really hate is being lied to. Or being taken for a ride, which is much the same thing.

                              Hello Undies,

Woke up early after falling into bed at 7:00 last night. Mowed the yard yesterday and it always knackers me. (I like that word but have no idea if I used it correctly.)

Zumba is way, way too frenetic for me. I can't keep up mentally with all the moves.

Techie, very sad news about the firefighters. I had a friend in Colorado who paid his way through school being a firefighter in the summers. Quite a caring bunch of people, they love the environment, they love to save other lives and they are incredibly brave.

In the south USA, we use the term "bless his/her heart" after insulting someone to "remove" the insult. Such as, "If Billy Sue would just learn to keep her legs closed when she is around men and not be such a slut, she wouldn't have so many children to feed and no money, bless her heart."

However, there are many nuances to "bless your heart." Here is a good description:

The Many Nuances of "Bless Your Heart"........ - Cottage in the Oaks

Rags, You had me going there. I liked the idea of starting a website for drinkers. Oh yeah, bless your heart, this is one!!

Bird, I found the older my children got, the more friends we became. I do enjoy that part of raising children. Before you know it, they are raising their own children and completely flummoxed by their behavior. :-)

I haven't read back about the potato growing in bags deal but it did remind me of my new to the country DIL, who once pointed out to a bin of seed potatoes in the Piggly Wiggly down the hill and said, "Shouldn't they be embarrassed by trying to sell those??"

Almost 3:00 a.m. here. "Tomorrow" is going to be a long day. sigh.

I'll join the AF bandwagon if you all don't mind. Antabuse has worked a treat for me. :-)

                              Love,
                              Cindi

Cindi, your use of "knackers" is correct and totally appropriate. You get a gold star...

Back from work and sorting food, as we have none...apparently...

And Bridge, I wouldn't want to know. It would hurt too much.
