i rated us up, after all the boob talk i had to.

I gave my little brother in law an absolute bollocking last night he started with the disrespect talking he does at home to his dad and step mom, to his big sister. I simply wont stand for it, i explained he is under my roof because we want him to visit and we love him, but his respect of us especially his sister a woman of substance in his life was required for him to remain welcome at our table. I was very sharp and a little harsh worded i even dropped the F word in front of the little ones, so he defo knows it was a serious event.
he is 11 and has been suspended from school close to 40 times now, cant wait till he is a teenager.
he is usual good at our place but pushing of boundary's will have me pushing back so fast his head will spin.

Aspy, my kids wouldn't even talk to me when they were 11. And if I looked at them they would freak...strange age....Mr. G, come get some blooooooberries.

It doesn't hurt them to have a good blast once in a while Aspy. We have all been disempowered as parents with this stupid overly politically correct society we buy into. Then we'll be blamed for the delinquency that they rain down upon (probably) the very civil libertarians who enabled it.

I went to Bunnings early as threatened and obtained 5x tins of fence paint at vastly reduced prices due to dented cans for next project, various plants and media. That should keep me off the streets for a bit

Asp, its a hard one if he's not getting a talking to at home. If he can't show respect to his sister, your wife, under your roof you've every right to get up him. Big locust was saying something the other day about reading a paper on his generation being the first not to be smacked, or said no to much. He looked at me and said, I didn't mean us though...then they all got into a discussion about being smacked on their bums when they were little...thank dog DOCS weren't around...

Don't suppose you're allowed to follow up with a swift clip across the ear-hole these days. Cheeses ... sometimes I'm so glad I was brought up during a time when they still sent children up chimneys (or was it down?) I think I was raised by smackers but I don't recall a single smack. Just rattlin' that wooden spoon drawer did it. Maybe they didn't smack hard enough to cause a lasting bloody trauma.

And.that.is my point. They set boundaries - we accepted them and got on with stuff. No bloody social worker intervened and told us of "our rights".

At 3.47pm ... I'm calling it POETS!!!!!!!!!!

I'm on handyman duty this weekend. FH's arm is still wrecked so I have a list of jobs....g.r.o.a.n. Don't mind the jobs, it's the supervision that does my head IN.
