Oh Happs ... it was so dreadful ... every Tuesday during the long winter months, I came home from working 18 hrs at coal mine only to be told - get up there and clear out soooot from chimbley. And once you're up, drop down again ... just to make sure... Sheer hell t'was.
To this day, I am not enamoured of cooking over charcoal but hey ... I never told my mother to STFU so I'm still alive to tell the tale.Comment

I used to send the boy up the laundry chute when I locked us out of the house.

Happy Friday evening Undies - and gee am I glad to be home.
My day started with a Pap smear and went downhill from there...

Roast lamb dinner on Sunday. Use leftovers for either lamb sandwiches for Monday or bubble and squeak for the evening meal.
Or lamb shanks.
I'd go 3 sausages. But I don't do dessert or cakes.
