Yep I think I'll be ok soon, but there is much shit to plough thru, ya?
I simply need to reconnect here with the people who do know me enough in a distant-cy sort way to give unbiased advice. To give me some toughen up recipes that'll take me thru.
I digress.
I just need to focus.
Thanks Ragsy you're a beautiful person
Hi there Cori,
You want my advice??
I had a button that I used to wear at work sometimes. It said...
"Here, take my advice, I'm not using it."
It was very funny in the particular work context I was in at the time.... one of those "you had to be there" things.
I think you have the strength and resilience to go forward to whatever new experiences await you.

Bridge, not only is it rude, but I don't get it. If you're not drinking, who cares? It means they have more to drink. It seems a fragile thing that a friendship (?) is based on whether you drink or not. Or, do you think they decided not to come as they didn't want to drink in front of you?
You're all right of course.
As Noice One advises I will tell them to fuck right off:HIf your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Bridget I remember reading a story somewhere about a man who used to love deep sea fishing with his mates on the weekend, until he gave up drinking and found he couldn?t stand it anymore. He said he found out that what he?d really enjoyed was deep sea drinking. TBH, I?ve found that sometimes the only thing I?ve had in common with past ?friends? is that we gave each other permission to get smashed together with no recriminations. And it's easy to think you're best mates after a bottle or three.
Hi Cori ? you have a difficult road ahead of you sweetie, but it?s for the best and I know you?re strong enough to do it and come through the other end. And we?ll be here to support you. :hThere's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes

genealogy fever has hit the asp house.
been at it for days now(no puns please), I have uncovered 9 generations on ancestry.com back to a 1709 wedding, i cant find his birth or death but he defo got married in 1709... amazing to see the records, got some immigration records too, from 1870 ish... fun for the whole family
need to learn ancient Celt to go back further... hehe.
Aspman we have our tree back to 1610 and it's absolutely fascinating. Not just names, but records that show a lot about what life was like back then, including things like bonds being paid to indemnify the father of a child being born out of wedlock, (50 pounds in 1752) and a will in 1722 from someone who was supposedly a really poor farmer who bequeaths his second hand clothes to his older brother, but also leaves an estate that compared to today's money would be worth about a million $$. BTW - he was 86 when he died so I doubt his brother would have been all that excited about the clothes, and he also left a shilling to one of his sons and left four out completely. There's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes

Evening Undies and super Reg!!!
Quick catch up before bed. Bridge - I couldn't believe your "friends" attitude
Cori- hope everything works out for you. And thanks for the Dr Oeteker(sp) recommendation - verrry nice (not said in creepy hypnotist voice!).
Happy - I want that house! Though isn't that croc territory? We had a beachfront place in the NT - not recommended.
Glass - I used to have many "hobbies" when drinking, but aren't so appealing/fun now :H
Tawny - I like the sound of your packed lunches, so can I book in for the week beginning 26 August? 2 Adults and 1 housetrained dog - loves cats (and chicken and rabbits...)
Have a super duper night everyone.
