In the midst of all the birthday frivolity I have to have a whinge....came back from work meeting to find the Lamp had pulled the bathroom to pieces...wall tiles off too as we have a leak...now we can't shower and the planned trip to watch the sunrise at Byron Bay tomorrow is now off...

It could be worse but....

Yep, the BIG 50..... Lots of pondering and wondering today but, as I always say .... It is as it is. Can't turn back the clock, just make the future wonderfully sensational!

LOVE both my pressies. You know me well. Watched the Marilyn Movie last night. Throbbed it!

We've been busy preparing the mansion for tomorrow. Oscar is bathed and brushed, Lilly saw and fled, Lady Dharma isn't getting too close.

FH says he has to "go out" tomorrow morning at 9.30...... Wonder if he'll come back??!!

I have a little gift each for the very few spesh people who are coming for lunch. People who have bared witness on my life for mostly 25 years.... So, a small intimate gathering it shall be.

Tawny I've never really been into cooking but you've totally inspired me with all your delicious talk about the sparky's lunch.

So today I'm going to try and make Quinoa With Sweet Potatoes, Kale, and Pesto. The pesto may be a bit of hit and miss because I'm using basil and rocket and I don't have pine nuts so I'm using a seed/nut mix.

It will either be fabulous or a disaster.
