Oh yes - we had many an orange hedgehog. I also used to make a very yummy pineapple cream cheese dip served in a hollowed out pineapple shell. With Jatz of course.

Anyway to get back to the noughties. A few years ago I kind of discovered this trick with soup which is a godsend for busy vegetarian peeps. So what I do is make a big batch of really basic vegie soup (just stock and vegies) and freeze it in small portions. Then when I defrost it I kind if jazz it up by adding different influences. So for mexican I'll add kidney beans, corn, chilli and serve it with quesadillas, and for Italian I'll add basil, more tomato and risoni and have it with garlic bread, and Indian will be curry, extra potato, cauliflower with naan and pappadoms etc.
As you can see, I don't get out much.

Just reading back over a large mug of leek and cauliflower soup with lemon. It also had tofu in it but I managed not to notice it thank goodness! Glassy, that soup idea of yours is great and I shall put it into effect tomorrow night with all the vegies that I was going to eat this week but are starting to look a bit flaccid at the bottom of the vegie bin ......

Well I don't know if it was the woolly bull, the lamb curry or the early night, but I'm jumping out of my skin this am.
I like that system with the soup Glassy. In the middle of doing the bulk cook and freeze here too. Keeps a girl on track I find.If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
