Yup, i got a friend who lives in a boat (well he was living there back in the early 2000's and I don;t see that he would have moved... well he might have moved, but he would have moved with his home if you see what i mean!!) there with his partner. Old dutch barge - they bought the shell then built it all up themselves. Like an oasis in the middle of the metropolis - SO quiet when you're on it.

Doing alright. Tiddling along... not much to report. Just musing and thinking and reading and trying to enjoy (and not feel guilty) that i don;t have too much of anyone telling me to do anything at work (ends next week prolly tho!)...

You best put your feet up now and make a brew :l

Aint see me mate in years - he worked in theatre and community projects. His project was a professional photographer. It was idyllic - BBQs were fine on the boats!

It's taken me over a week, but i took meself out the office and into the libarary so i could do some reading without feeling like "i oughgt to be sitting at me desk" ... i hate that... and i hate even more when EVERYONE EATS THEIR LUNCH AT THEIR DESK....

it's an ingrained culture for many - not all - but many. It was the "norm" for so long, that people just feel easier to eat at their desks and turn on facebook and tune out for 15mins... but i'm like WTF?!?!?! So then i feel guilty for eating away from my desk and going for a half hour walk?!!?
