That documentary was so compelling to me I watched it 5 times. I remembered when it happened but I never knew the whole story. I still have a hard time understanding the whole thing. It is so very sad.

I watched this a few weeks ago and yes, it is very very sad. Its not just a movie about AL but its about grief, loss and denial.
It did spark a lot of comments about high functioning alcoholics and 'Mommy drinkers'.
