Just put a word on how this sober life feels : peaceful
Could have driven 15 miles to a big bash BBQ but instead decided to met my sis in park and had a peppermint tea.
2 years ago I would have been there - wine in hand and last to leave!!
Now could this we old age ? or just a contentment that we can acquire at any age?

Gawd Satzuma, I wouldn't call our age old. I'm just not ready for beige and doubt I ever will be.

I reckon contentment comes at any age. The son and heir has been content since the day he was born where as our Jenz has always been slightly discontent.

I'm just happy and content pootling along these days, but I think for me that comes with my sobriety. I could rage against every one and everything at one time.

Evening army. Got a lot done in the back garden today. Cut grass got some weeds up and part of the hedges. Try to get finished tomorrow and Monday. Was hot but I got to sit and enjoy the sun in between. Nackered now but chillin in front of tv. A barbeque sounds lovely this weather but too tempting for me now with the sunny weather so wud rather avoid for now. tho still taking the antibuse and wudn't drink its watching others drink and then get boring and loud as they drink more. Well done for not going Satz but I guess you're tired of dat scene now. Not saying I wud not go to a Barbie but if I did I wud prefer to leave a bit early before if there is lots booze and drinking going on. No future invites so far.

Didn't get above 19/20C today. Every where else in the country is baking.

Bawled me eyes out during the night. Which came as a bit of a relief.

And the Bostonians go back tomorrow and we're going to the airport to see them off.
