Breaking news......the son and heir is coming home to live. Got a promotion to a branch just down the road from us. Well it's a good few miles but he's getting a wee car.

I'm fecking delighted not just cos I can play a proper mammy for a while but he was getting highly pissed off with the branch he was in and he can't abide the manager.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Do you still have the personal protective equipment you used when he was at home before?

Roight, so done me good Samaritan for the day and gave some marsbar cakes i made to the kids next door - it wont shut them up, but at least it's a bit more interaction than just... well just nothing...

There's 4 sprogs - the 2 oldest boys are out, the girls playing with the youngest - a 2 or 3yr old downs boy - who is a CUTE as can be. The lass just shouts to her ma "Ma, do we want marsbar cakes from the guy next door" Evidently she said yes. So lass took the tub and went off. No thank yous or nothing :H And the wee toddler just looked at me and said "Mum!" ... ach it's a different world somewhat in there... It's quiet now... so easy to look upon them, almost affectionately, without that irate feeling when they're all squealing like over-excited hog and boars.

Orf to Glesga tomorrow morning - doing an outdoor performance of some sort on Sat and Sun morning... so reh's are tomorrow and Friday mornings.

In less than a week, I have met with/joined 3 new groups: Sunday the performance poetry group (really unsure of their poems though... ); the postgrad short course at me alma mater; and this one-off performance gig as part of the SURGE Festival. So this is good. This is good. This is good. This is good :H:H I'm trying to do positive thinking via a post :H

Oh and Pat the Lounger is back on the scene :H
                          Had a 'session' this eve.

Told me my life is too 'cushy' and need to challenge myself with something. Playing it too safe apparently.
Something like you were talking about today RC ....... kinda shutting myself off to protect myself ...
Oh I dunno - best get out there and 'do' something or I will stagnate and that ain't good.

Yes it is good to do things - but in our own ways... sometimes we (well i do) get led on by what I THINK i should be doing as opposed to what I would like to do - IRRESPECTIVE of what others think. If it's cushy to one but not to you, then screw what they say... but if YOU feel maybe you wanna get out more, or are feeling you need to do summat more... then do what YOU want to do.

                            Who's Pat Lounger?

Ah now I thought you may not remember him.
He is a spiritual refloxologist I happened upon. Does a lot of work with as a volunteer in post cancer healing therapies centre in Dublin.

But when I met him I was 'surprised' to say the least. Long gray hair - aging hippy type vibe.

He arrives in his red van for house calls- with what looks like a sun lounger and a bottle of cooking oil to massage the feet:H .
He does reflexology on yer feet but is also in touch with the more spiritual side of healing etc.
I like him - being the ommmmmmmmm type - my sis tolerates him in case she might miss something.

Maybe i've been a bit too verbose today. Too prolix? Too hyperbolic? Too offensive?
