Just wondering tho, did District nurse no leave a sharps box with yis for the needles?

Oops sorry didn't make myself clear. It was the sharps box I had to get rid off.
I asked in Boots but if you'd seen their reaction you'd think I was asking if I could sell some gear over the counter.

Odd as it may sound might see if I can get a shift or 2 there. Some blooming good craic going on.
Cher had to do the same thing with the blood thinners... I'd never heard of it before. She had to jab herself in the belly... uch:

          Yo Zennifer,
For one nano-second I thought that I might have had to do it. Usain Bolt would have had a serious contender for the 100m. It didn't seem to bother Sir Pee one little bit.

Aye it's not quite the Ritz and you have to hide yer purse but on the whole they're a canny bunch.

Aye Sweety... everyone will be on tenterhooks not just you. Wear pointy toes so you can kick yer old man and bro under the table when they start eating their grub like someone's gonna snatch it from them.

Just got back from next door where I did a really slapdash kitchen clean-up. She will not accept help and it's annoying...lol Like, I have to beg to help her FFS. Where I come from the neighbours will always pop in to help if you're incapacitated so it's just normal.

I never made it to Walmart. I started shopping for health insurance online (it's all changing here with Obama Care and I thought it may have come down in price) and that was me lost on insurance tinternet like Sweety was lost in Youtube. Much prefer Youtube.

I got me a load of new albums from the web "free of charge" the last week or so. And I've hooked up and old pair of speakers with a small subwoofer to my laptop. The sound is frikken awesome!

It's something about the belly. I've injected myself in the thigh before no probs... but the thought of the belly... :yuk:

Is he all done with the recovery now? Did they have him going to physical therapy 3x a week for 6 weeks?

They pulled her groin while they were operating on her. (They "hang" the leg while they do the hip op.) The feckin groin is giving her more trouble than the hip and the exercises are really painful for it. All quite crap really. I have very little faith in the medical profession.

He's 10 weeks tomorrow and he's doing fine. Yep he gets a bit of pain in his groin now and again and his stitches 'pull' but he was warned about that. From what I gather they more or less put the leg in some positions that haven't even been thought of in the Kama Sutra.

No specific physio, but he's got a sheet of exercises.

Ach, I'm just taking it easy on myself mentally. Physically I need all the exercise I can get. Can hardly remember what the gym looks like.

I reckon she was so out of it on percocet she didn't feel the sting as there was no mention of it... :H Is it normal for a hip replacement patient to get a groin pull like that? I reckon the surgeon or whomever must have yanked her leg... ( Had a groin pull myself and it doesn't come from a gentle movement. They haven't even addressed it... no anti inflammatory or owt...

Yer upcoming meal sounds like something out of "Meet the Fockers"

It's file sharing... peer-to-peer networking. Sites like Isohunt, Kickass etc. You just need to download a program than enables you to save them (I use BitTorrent).

She has to go 3x a week... she was in the torture chamber for an hour and a half today. Good for her hip I'm sure, pretty shitty for her groin!

I think I'm going to go and take my calcium tabs.................

Don't really know if it's normal Zen, but i'd imagine that no its not. Can the physio not address the groin strain also?

In my very non medical opinion it sounds a bit excessive, but I'm wondering if NHS resources just can't afford it and she's paying for it.

Just a quick google brought this up.

Hip Replacement Recovery: Exercises & Physical Therapy After Surgery

EDIT; must away and eat sumfing.

Unfortunately, to work out the hip properly the groin is getting more trauma. And they don't seem to be addressing it at all. She needs to bring it to the surgeon's attention (the physio is in the surgeons office... he's obviously doing well!)...

I can explain it to you if you want to give it a shot. I just went off and downloaded two albums since I mentioned it. The speed you download them at depends on how active they are (how many people "seeding"). The only difference between that and Youtube is you can get albums that are not available on YouTube. And you can transfer them to your iPod. I know... sounds difficult but it's not. It's Oney (she used to post on this thread) that taught me how to do it.
