Ahhhhh that's the sweetest thing I've heard for ages.

Had to google skirt as well and it's come up with flank. Still none the wiser.

      Reccy where is you?
      I'm here Jackie!

Just finishing off a big bowl of pasta and spinach and cherry toms with lots of blue cheese for brekkie! :goodjob:

The tent has sadly been consigned to the council tip on account of the fact that it leaked like a sieve. :upset:

It's food. It's on a plate. You are breaking your fast.

When we were in the US, my Aunt used to open the fridge in the morning and just had whatever someone had brought back in their doggie bag from the night before. Nice bit of steak, chow mein and once half a corned beef sandwich. The American corned beef not that crap out of a tin.

I'll bring me own but you can carry it. It's a 4 man tent or in the JC world, one man and a woman with her luggage tent.

And I often see recipes for 'skirt steak' and there's some other prime cut of beef - can't remember the name of it - that ye have that either we call differently or it's just cut differently --- interesting it is! Have my shin beef simmering away anyhows and it's gonna be DELISH!!!!
Found this in my bookmarks molly. May or may not help:

It was rather sweet --- I DO miss the innocence of having little ones -- s'pose Jamie replaces that a wee bit.... but when they're your own kids - it's a bit magic.
Actually - had a funny convo with Jilly last night re. handing up money into the house - I never insisted on it, and I thought they'd all left home by the time they were earning... but Jilly reminded me that Simon did at the beginning - he was 18 so she was about 13 - he did the 'look in the fridge' thing and there was 'no food' (yeah - no chocolate, biscuits, cakes, fancy yogurts) - and was whinging that he was handing up into the house and she wasn't ----- SHE WAS 13 FFS!!!!!
I know. It's just brought to mind when one of cousins's wee ones had given up nappies and she was now an official 'big girl'. She asked me if I'd given up nappies and when I answered yes she was really pleased for me. :h

Actually gonna be weird the son and heir fronting up a couple of hundred a month when he lives at home. Of course my first thoughts weren't oooooh we'll have a lovely Chrimbo it was how many flights can I get to Dubbers.

                  Lovely nappy story:h
                  Just bookmarked the link, Reccy.

I did try ?50 a week but he cottoned on in a millisecond. Can't hurt to try.

Do you know sometimes I long for the days of potty training. Least I knew where the little buggers were.

For some unknown reason I could plonk Jenz down and she's watch the whole of Knots Landing. She wasn't even 2. Three quarters of an hour peace and quiet a day. Bliss.

Morning all. Molly - so glad that you got your situation under control. Kids can stress you out like no other. Jackie - I am so sorry you are still hurting. Some people you just never, ever stop missing. He will always be with you though. Sorry if I missed anyone - have to get ready for work. I have not been myself lately. Not drinking or course, but just depressed. My job is what is killing me - they just keep piling the work on, no compensation. I do the work, so they gove me more. I guess I should just turn into a slacker then they will stop, right? I just need a change. I have a good job with great benefits and for that I am thankful. The stress and the commute from hell is what I could do without. It is sucking the very life out of me. I have no energy for anything after work and it is sjust not fair. I am emotionally blasted. One day a week working form home is nice, but that is not the answer. Sorry to vent. Off to the grind. Be well everyone.

                                Love Waggy
