Missy, maybe Mr B could get together with the Lamp and they could all build prototypes in foam of their container houses. Its a non dangerous sport - so far. I want full reportage from the dietician meeting, its a long story but the interest in the Container Project started with the Lamp going off his arthritis medication and snowballed from there...he's not drinking anymore and needed a project to keep him busy...

Just made appointments with 2 surgeons. One on 27th Aug and the other on 3rd Sept.
The secretaries get a bit stroppy when I say " No I am not in a private health fund for surgery, just hospital."

"Oh, well, Dr So and So doesn't see public patients"

"I am aware of that" says me.
"I have the means to pay"

"We don't accept credit cards " says she
(" Well fuck you " I say to myself")
Aloud I say.
"That's fine. I will have cash"

Then I remembered .... this was the guy who did my knee years ago and was a right surly bastard.
I think he was going through a marital crises at the time.

And that Undies is why I am also booked to see another surgeon.
I've arranged for Mr Rags to come with me for both consults,
not for emotional support,
but so I can ask him for his opinion of them.
If Dr. Corrie was available, I'd ask her to come along too.

At my Kiama place I had bolted a couple of wood pallets to a wall and used that to hang pots on. Painted the pallet in vivid happy colours. Looked all right.

Gardening Australia or Better Homes and Gardens just a couple of weeks ago had vertical gardens using guttering. I thought that was pretty schmick.
I'm going to put some along my fence in a couple of months.

A waste of money Glassy.
Buy some guttering ..... or drive round the suburbs for stuff thrown out, or the local tip/recycle centre.
If you set it up like the lowest picture in the ones Bridge posted, you almost have a hydropnic system happening.

the kids and i got mummy some flowers while she was at work.
snap dragons, marigolds and pansy's, 7m X.6m flower bed.
1m of soil, all shovels and planted in 3 hours with 70 plants.
pics to follow.
mummy was super impressed, she was expecting a bunch of cheap flowers from the IGA.
the bed was not in full sun so we amended the plan.
