Yes. I'm obtaining data for my thesis by interviewing people. I interviewed the first 2 today and pretty much had to make it up as I went along. 1.5 - 2 hours each and I was paranoid that my little recording thingy's (that I've never used until last night) wouldn't work. Plus I had to drive up to the coast and I was so tired after so little sleep I had to keep pinching myself on the drive home.

Ain't this a touch of yer synchronicity style Glassy. I'm interviewing a muso for my new site on sunday, and i'm also taking along a new recorder thingy. Poor bloke doesn't know what he's in for, and either do i, but i'm sure we'll have a laugh. It's more a conversation. Then i've got to listen to the thing and probably write it out. I'd better not waffle on too much, but i'm tipping we will.

Good morning everybody!

G, that really sucks about your work. The whole point of H&S reps is to provide an alternative perspective to that of managers, from another position in the organisation. It sort of makes me despair, but on the other hand it just reinforces my views about the general quality of management in most workplaces.

Anyway, glad everything is going well on the other fronts - it must feel very rewarding

You know, I was just thinking that other day that the first (real) job I was ever in was the best job I ever had and part of the reason for that was that the management team was just fantastic. So I know it can be done!!!

Anyway, I'm not going to ruin Saturday by talking abut work!

Instead I'm going to ruin it by going out flat-hunting :H I'm still in research mode ... just going to look at places in our price range to see what they look like in reality (as opposed to the probably photo shopped photos that are on the internet). I've got about a month before we need to find somewhere - lease here is until 18 October, so if I can find somewhere by mid-late September we'll be fine. I'm looking forward to having our own place again and having our own things around us. Hopefully we will also find somewhere that will allow us to bring Wookie and Betty over because I miss them hugely. :upset:

The Lamp is a bit pissed off as the rats have found a way into his potting shed and demolished a punnet of beetroot and half a thing of kale. They don't seem to like wheatgrass though...funny that...

Gosh Happs, what a splendid garden...I need to do some digging...Glassy hope you got some good sleep and interviews...Missy are Wookie and Betty cats??.....fell back asleep this a.m. after kids left..its raining again...went to work some, the pool and slept more hahaha....the kids are both going to spend the night tomorrow night and I'm a bit worried..trying to get my plan in mind, I will get my pj's and book and go to bed early...it will be raining I hope, which helps with cravings for some reason...think I am going to try making my own ketchup, saw a recipe on fb..

Hope you all have a productive Saturday . Finally the wet weather has eased up, have ridden one horse so far, after lunch will deal with other one. It's a bit painful as they are now 30 kms apart, agisting on different properties but thems the breaks i guess.

Up since sparrows fart here. Deck blasted, all carpets cleaned, lounge forensically cleaned and steamed, soft furnishings dumped in machine contrary to tag instructions but I am on a mission......

Just need that deck to dry out so that Cabots can be lovingly applied then I reckon that's a good day's yakka.

Garden is looking amazing Happs. What are those big cylindrical thingos, yellow lined?
They look perfect for the job.

Missy I think I'd rather have my kidneys harvested than look at real estate today, so I wish for you that you find the perfect place post haste.

Birdy, come on here for a chat and like you say, keep really busy and structured. Get a DVD and a good early night. Then come back on here next morning and gloat shamelessly about how fabulous you feel. These are our re-inforcers

Arvo all,

I'm in a state of bliss. Best visitors ever - the ageing musos were articulate, witty, intelligent, rageing lefties and they ATE for Australia. It's such a pleasure to feed people who fang everything - including the garnish. Although they drank some red, nobody got shit-faced or nasty and obnoxious. We all retired at a respectable hour and they fusked off at 11.30am today.

24 hours of totally wonderful company. I am so blessed to know these blokes.

I'm zorsted. Now I will have a nanna nap and deal with the clean up tomorrow.
