De-caff coffee - totally pointless imho - may as well drink water.
Believe what they do to get the caffine out is worse that the caffeine - just sayin'
I concur Doc. I've never looked to see how they extract the caffeine... sounds like I don't want to know...

My cruise is the 5th to the 12th of October. Two years ago in Dunnes found lovely cotton shorts with elastic waist and draw string just a nice lenth. Still have them and there still ok for in the garden but too well washed and shabby for hols. I might come across similar ones some where. I'm quite short at 5ft so hem lines in trs and maxis are usually a problem its rare to get stuff that doesn't need a hem but sometimes i'm lucky. I hear on the weight Jc I have to lose me muffin top and bingo wings that's where its bad now. I've cut down on the chocolate over the weekend and no more crisps or junk for now I have to lose this weight I don't to walk around looking like a blob never mind on hols. Its gotten quite chilly here this evening. Nice sunny spell today and it was warm.

Thank goodness someone else has said it.

That's why I don't drink it. It's supposed to have caffeine in it, unnatural not to.

Don't like decaff coffee either I prefer me caffeine hit. I'm the regular stuff is better than the decaff as the process of extracted it has to a process I don't think I want to know either. I thought the natural fruit in sugar was ok its the white stuff that is the culprit in weight gain as it used in many processed carbs like cake cookies and breads and other crap.

I'd like to know how they send the parcels. I have to declare contents/value... always have had to. Maybe it's different from other countries? Next time I'm saying it's a box of rags that have zero value. Had I but know, that's what I'd have done.
              They always say zero value:goodjob:

RunningCourage;1539947 wrote: So Zenee... I did me race, drove to Glasgow...parked right beside where the rehearsal was to take place and because I was early went for a wander down Kelvinside, getting into the Kevingroove of a Sunday afternoon... and I thought and I thought and I realised I wasn;t going into the rehearsal... 1pm passed...1.30pm...nope, i was late and i wasn't going in.

Is that so bad of me?

The gig's in a month or so. They can re-work it. It's not a contracted thing or anything like that... and as much as I AM interested in different types of live spoken word performance and would like to attend the gig... the writer, the poems were just... i just thought they weren't anything wonderful. Indeed some felt a bit cringey. So i need to email them to say sorry.

It's a hard one to know when you need to do something for yourself (I don;t want to do THIS particular stuff/poetry performance) and that takes priority... or when you should do something because it is the right thing to do despite how it makes you feel. And also (and this was what i was toying with) whether we need to do things as a "way in" ... but then I thought I could still go to the gig and there;s nothing ever stopping me from applying to do an open mic session slot... so, what's this issue there?

Still feel a bit guilty all the same...
I'm glad I went back for a squizz...

Here's the thing... sometimes you absolutely have to do things you don't want to do. (You'll know for sure when it's one of those situations.) Other times... well, sometimes it's like I want to make myself feel important by doing things for people that are really not necessary for me to do. Then I get hacked off cos I'm feeling like I'm taken for granted. It's all down to me though, right? Up to me to be a selfish cowbag and draw the line in the sand. And, so, it's up to you to draw your line too... and know that it's OK to do so.

Personally, going to have to continue thinking on those lines as I have been told... get this... that I am too GOOD of a friend. So I take that to mean I'm a doormat? That shit stops right here!

Anyhoo... I'm glad you did what you wanted to do. There is a lot to be said for doing things for ourselves. Most alkies have a tendancy to bend over backwards for others to assuage the guilt we feel about being alkies in the first place. Kind of says a lot about us really. We're pretty good people but we need to look after ourselves as much as we look after others.

The natural sugar in fruit is fine imho... bot not if you want to lose weight. All sugar's your enemy if you want to shed a few pounds...

BUT! What I should have done last night instead of eating the bag of M&Ms, is eat the bloody organic cherries I bought at the farm yoke place... :upset:

No brainer then. Stick with the fruit, don't worry about milk (FFS?!) and have pasta, spuds, bread in moderation. You're lucky you're not overweight... that means your body's not out of whack with the carbs.
