Oh good it's not my internet then Reccy. Never know what's going on with Comcast as they are CRAP!

UKB... the documentaries are really good on Netflix. Have you seen "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead"? You'll like that one as you're into nutrition as I remember...

After buying at least 15 dog beds at ?30+ a time which were eaten at a prodigious pace we bought a second hand sofa for a tenner, best dog bed ever! When he was a puppy he had a crate, brilliant for the pup's safety and your sanity that helped with the house training too! The spray you can get to attract them to pee on the paper pads is good for in the night and anything they shouldn't have makes a satisfactory toy

When we took Charlie for his booster yesterday a crate full of labrador puppieswere brought in, made me want another.
I was studiously ignoring a cage full of kittens when I took mine in for their shots Friday.

I'd have to say, hearing what you dog owners spend, I feel quite blessed at the mo! :H

No but I will do, yes I am currently battling a serious chocolate addiction - I've replaced booze and it's not looking good!
I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.

Drank within safe limits for almost 2 years

And the litter tray is also for use at night - there's no amount of barking that'll wake me up. I don't buy newspapers - hence the litter tray.
I suppose sitting her on the lappy while you're reading the Financial Times on-line would look a bit odd.

Sylv, funny until recently I always thought of crates as a bit on the cruel side but next door often look after a wee Yorkie with one and she loves it. The doors always open now and she uses it as her little sanctuary. We'd defo have one.

Bess has a right posh gigantic cushion and for some unknown reason lies beside it.

She also has her own blanket on the settee in the living room, the settee in the conservatory and beside the bed. Did I mention she's she's spoilt.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Oh I hear you on that one. Everyone in rehab looked like they were from a concentration camp but me... I got FAT! :upset:

I'm almost at the point of accepting the extra weight. I had both anorexia and bulimia so I really shouldn't be stressing about weight. I'm still within "normal" weight range, not like I'm obese, but I kinda obsess a bit. (

LOL... I never thought I would find myself tossing my problems about in the conversation like this! Acceptance is a good thing I suppose, and I guess it's best to know my own demons!

Both of the books I read on border collies recommended using a crate. Apart from helping with training, it's like giving the dog its own private bedroom where it can get some peace and privacy and feel safe. Wish they would have come up with a nicer name for it though.

                    Can I have one?

Now you've got 2 names to think of.

One for the dog and one for the crate.

I know a few people slate the NHS but if we'd had to buy all that stuff we'd have been living beside molly, willow, maggie, ally, ellie, ella, ivy, nellie, erin, amy, ida, maya, una, evie, tatty and saffy (saffron) crate.

Later on I shall celebrate with a prawn sandwich and a very large bar of chocolate.

Congratulations Wagoneer, six months is a landmark.

Charlie loved his crate, he had the biggest we could find and I only got rid of it when he was too big for it, he's happy on his sofa now though.

What to do for the rest of the week, well til Friday when son #2 moves to the town, I am seconded to clean the new place and await the arrival of furniture from Nottingham. Have this dream of making a month's worth of work lunches and freezing them today, so why am I sitting on the computer with beds unmade etc
