It has some kind of "wave" thingy and I'm waving at it but nowt is going on... I look like a right plonker.
Sounds complicated, I stick to the same one, I'm like that - if I like something I buy lots of them, then they usually stop making them.

I've just had a deja vu sorta moment realised the last time I did a full calendar month AF was August 2010, and I'm about to complete August 2013 as my first AF calendar month since then.

I don't know what that means, but I know it's good.

You're feeling all betterer now? :l I was a wee bit worried, that's why I called. We should catch up anyway... maybe tomorrow?

I texted you on my NEW PHONE! Did you get it?

It turned out to be a lot of architectural stuff but it didn't bother me. In fact, I ended up teaching AutoCAD at the school I went to for a while.

Achully, kinda wish I'd done law now. But I ain't going back at 50!
AutoCAD and design that's cool. Definitely more interesting and fun than law.

I had forgot he was there so when I heard a male voice I thought it was Sir Pee home early. In retrospect, Sir Pee's voice is deeper I think...
Like I said not a bother.

I canna tell the difference at all if I'm not in the room and if the FIL is here I just give in.

I'll be having my deja vu moment in October when my feckin birthday comes along. I reckon the big 5-0 is what put me pear shaped totally last year. (I was getting there anyway, just speeded things up a bit.)

I have to run out for a few things for dinner but will check back later! X

Give them all designated "funny voices" to talk with. Sir Pee can be Donald Duck, Mikey can be Bugs Bunny and I'm not sure who the FIL can be but I'm sure you'll think of one for him! And can you video them having a convo and send it to me! :H

                  Army Thread Wednesday 28th August

                  So...

Yesterday at work one of my colleagues was dismissed. She came to work none the wise and by 3pm was out the door never to work there again.

Now there is a reason of course, she was a bit unwise and neither do i know the full extent of what she did. What i do know is:

She posted a comment on facebook - to a limited number of her closer pals (so not in public view on FB), a few who are work mates. The post i think was her venting exasperation at work load - she complained that she might need to work the weekend due to just being dumped a load of work by another colleague at 4pm on a Friday.
A former colleague (in this loop) asked who it was. And she informed her who the person was who had dumped the extra load of work.
Now, i dont know if she was slanderous about this person at all (she says not, says that she posted nothing she would have said in the open).
Anyway, another colleague took a screenshot of it and took it straight to the directors.... this was yesterday morning. An investigation took place during the day and by 3pm they'd dismissed her.

                  It's all a bit... weird.
Sure, she is a wee bit of a lose cannon.
But was she really THAT slanderous?
Why was this not taken to her line manager first?
Why was she not disciplined at all.... it was straight to dismissal?
Was it an excuse to get rid of someone that might not have the team player they desired, and she offered it to them on a plate?
I'm kinda thinking that if I had written something similar... I'd have been disciplined but not dismissed... though i may well be naive...

No need to answer these Q's i'm just writing it out cos it's on my mind and you guys are all friends and not in anyway linked to my work!

Back to arse sniffin folks :H

Don't flatter yerself, I'm still here, desperately trying not to comment on the sacking..............but I'm going to any way.

Perhaps she's had all the warnings before and this was the final straw ( oooh poetry).

Nowt's sacred on FB it's why I stick to pweety pictures of kittens (not to be confused with kit hens) and puppy dawgs.

Good point. Maybe she had had warnings. I'm not privvy to all the ins and outs, so to speak... [insert joke about ins and outs here ].

It's why i stick to not really ever posting on FB!

You have to be so careful on FB, I see people moaning about their jobs and really cringe esp if it's part of something really 'important', an institution or something.

You have to ask would I associate with this person if I didn't work with them?
