It is quite beautilful isn't it? And usually so silent - I love that.

Good luck with your feathery girl. Sorry for the pun but best to pluck up the courage and go see. Let us know. :h

        That's gorgeous, bird.
As a chook lover and a vet, i would not advise taking chook to vet unless suffering, or if she's dying too slowly then organise a chook euth in the car ......put her in a darkened box......
They usually die slowly which can be distressing. Here's hoping she has passed away peacefully overnight.

On a brighter more, today here looks great. Very springy .
        Have good Friday's everyone.

Did you go look Bridge?:upset:..I remember when I first started stringing some sober days together, going out fishing at dusk, and that was so exciting to be able to drive somewhere after 3;30, which was when I would always start drinking....

Yes unfortunately my lady has gone to Dog overnight.
I am quite relieved for her to be out of discomfort. They were all rescues and aging so it was expected.
            Only one left now.
            What to do?
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Hi Cori - is it chilly where you are? Going to have to get more firewood for these nights/mornings!

Did Tawny come back from the tip?

off into the books again - started taking the phosphotydl serine (sp?) so let's hope something sticks

Sorry Bridge but I'm also glad that she didn't hang on much longer. When mine died I found it really distressing to watch the remaining one wander around on her own so I got another two pretty quickly. All three are getting on really well.

I don't think non-chook people understand just how special these birdies are.

Just pulled me head up from my arvo nana...night out tonight has been cancelled due to non interest so the only things remaining to do are to email a file to a client and find a Jesus costume for one of the locusts to do a guitar solo in next week....
