Kasaundi? That's it I think. Not the only thing bought, we found this great stall and bought a truckload of all kinds of stuff. Pretty yummy stuff too.

Ok, footy is over, Carlton won, so off to be a social. Will report back tomorrow Undies, with Leon pics. He was arguing with Sunny about dinner when we were talking, so I'm looking forward to seeing where our Undies Baby is up to.

      Mwah to all !!!!!!!!!

              Morning all,

              Hiya Bridgey,

Hope you wake up with minor to zero crankage this morning. Here's a a few big :l:l:l for you and you only.

Working on some music with a couple of folks today at work. Should be fun. Flat out day though. Will hear today or tomorrow whether or not i can leave current role and continue on with weekend one. This will be a very cool outcome, as i will be freed up massively time wise to recharge, refocus and pursue stuff in a more chilled manner that's impordant to me.

                      Morning all,

Well it seems I've joined the High Blood Pressure Brigade. Visit to the quack's yesterday revealed a reading of 180/120 and she wouldn't let me go until I'd taken a pill, waited half an hour and read it again at 160/100. Of course I have no fusking idea what this all means but it seems I'm now on BP meds followed by full blood tests and X-ray on Friday.

What's not to be happy about, I ask yas all?

Lovely photos Rags. I must get out that out that way one day soon.

Cori I think that's a bit concerning about that guy getting your number I certainly hope no-one at the hospital was so unprofessional as to hand it on.

Mr G I think they're being a bit rude there. If you're taking LWOP it should be cost neutral. They sound like a bunch of bullies actually.

Well still waiting to hear about a job starting here. I'm sure the hold up is due to change of govt and needing assurance about ongoing funding. Shocking timing. I'm confident that I've got the job, just might have to shine shoes for the Liberal ministers to secure it.

Glassy, where are we at with the little red boat?? I thought there was still some life in it?

                          Fark!
Well that'll explain a few things matey.
A friend of mine, a skinny minny just like you, is going through exactly the same thing. We had a long chat about it and she's just decided to submit and get the thing down and try not to harbour any resentment or judgement about taking meds (throw hands up and say 'fuck it' in other words) We're bloody lucky to have these meds or we'd all be imploding L,R and C.

Might be an idea to get yourself a monitor as well. They're only about $70 big ones for a goodish one. Can PM details of my handy dandy one if you like.
Remember the good old days when we used to boast about a new handbag and matching shoes instead of the hottest new model BP machine?????

Can you spit on them too?? The shoes that is....although...

Froglette have to agree with Bridge, how lucky are we to live in the age we do? The Lamp has been on tablets since his early 40's. His Pa died of a BP related heart attack in his 50's. If we hadn't had to have a full medical for life insurance...well, I could be rich, but I don't think I'd be as happy...

Meeting some lovely friends for lunch today but have to finish a shit load of work first...stop distracting me...:H

That sucks having bp issues, tawny, but have faith in the meds. Maybe take it a bit easier as well, i gather you're a "do it now" sorta woman.

                              Have a nice lunch happy.

Well the lecherous old man called again last night. Not liking this, folks.
He said he got my number from some horsey people he knew who lived in my area, bit suspect if you ask me. Bridge, i don't think anyone from the hospital would give it out, surely.
I've marked his number as "don't answer", so at least i can screen his calls. I didn't answer him last night.

Another day of counselling today. Excellent resources, just excellent. Next week i start group stuff, which i am a bit worried about.

                              Morning, g and glassy.

                                morning all,

haven't been posting because I've been cranky too. At work things. Too complicated to explain, but I feel like I'm flogging a dead horse and workng my butt off to try to make things better when a decision may already have been made. Thoughts of throwing the towel in are not far from my mind, except that if there is any redundancy payment going I want some

Corrie - definitely ignore that guy, and if he manages to get though, tell him in no uncertain terms that his calls are not welcome. Oh, and you now have me on the search for Carmen meusli bars ........

TF - agree with Bridge to get yourself a monitor. I got one once I started taking the BP pills and it has been most instructive!! My GP provided me with lots of really good info and from what I can make out, high BP and weakened heart function is just something that happens as we wear out. Also, "problems" in that area are 50% a result of lifestyle and 50% of genetic factors. So even if you are really healthy, if you have a genetic disposition to heart problems then there is some elevated risk.

But I have to say that my BP (which I don't check every day any more, but at least once a week) has now been in the normal range for about 2 months, and once I get settled into some permanent accommodation I'm going to hopefuly go off it.
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn
