Ok so I called the doctor and I was a bit vague about why Sierra needs the apointment and they said the next appt is in December. Well I got off the phone and said to myself "fuck that" (excuse my French). I called back and straight up told them she is cutting herself and it's urgent. The receptionist apologized and so did I...it was my fault for not being specific but I AM AT WORK and people are seriously standing all over the place. I was trying to convey in my voice that it was urgent. Anyway....we are going today at 3:45.

Did I mention that at 5:40pm today the crazy chihuahua gets her anal glands squeezed? Perfect! Nice ending to a nice day. LOL

K9 I'm sorry you're going through this but you are a fantastic mother and are doing everything you can. Sierra is very lucky to have a parent she can talk to and who listens without judging.

Mama - that goes equally for you. You are also a wonderful mama and I'm sure things will settle down for Clay soon.

Pauly I've never heard of vistaril but antihistamines send me through the roof too.

oh k9,thats horrible,i think alot of kids go through that stage though this is about the age,im glad she told you finally poor baby,just dont blame yourself,kids who have perfect parents go through this stuff too,there is alot of pressure on these kids these days from everywhere else,thank goodness you got her into the doc,keep us posted if you feel up to it later,hugs to you

Nothing showed up on the CAT scan so we still have no answers…but glad they didn’t find anything.
So origin of the blood clots is still a mystery....argh...

K9... just wanted to send you my support and prayers too. I was "her" at that age too but I did not have the support of my parents. I love your statement, that you are her biggest advocate... that may be what she is trying to determine.... I'm guessing in her head, she may be thinking ... "Hey, Mom, I was there for you..." might be a test or just something that kids go through at that stage... I know you know... it's all about them..... But it's an awful age, for any kid; wouldn't go through that again for any money... But, just remember, how good a "mom" you are.... it's a tunnel... she'll come out the other side eventually!

Dottie, so glad your scan was negative. That's a relief! Hopefully there will be no more clots, as mysterious as this was.

K9, what a shock! You did the right thing! Your handling this with amazing wisdom and strength exactly what she needs right now. A lot of kids wouldn't even admit they were cutting! Hang in there, sending hugs your way.

Mama your sounding much more positive today. Is Clay a senior?

I actually had a very good, busy day. Went shopping with my daughter after work and dinner. Just an average normal day with absolutely no cravings, and for that I am grateful.

Well - don't really have much to say here. Just keep thinking of K9 and Sierra. I agree with Caper that I wouldn't want to go thru that age for any amount of money. It's a hard, hard time.
