While we?re on the subject, and if I may get serious for one brief nano-second, I have a bit of a rant. We (responsible pet owners) spay and neuter but there are still horrible amounts of pets in pounds and shelters. Some are feral, granted, and some are unwanted gifts, difficult to deal with, or bought on the spur of the moment? but I wonder how many come from breeders that have an ?inferior product? they can?t sell. Gets my blood boiling that one. My favouritist cat ever, MacGregor, could only have been a breeder kitten. Seamus too. One was Russian Blue with Hemmingway toes, the other was an Exotic (short haired Persian). They were tiny wee kittens (about 6 weeks, much too young for me to adopt, but the pound here will neuter them and give them out to get more space). They were in the pound with all their littermates and here in South Florida nobody lets their cats breed, you can have them spayed and neutered for free. And they were clearly not feral litters? so that only leaves one option? feckin breeders offloading litters they don?t think sellable. Puppy Mills and Kitty Mills. There just aren?t enough homes for all these animals. Especially in this economy. Fecks sakes, we have old age pensioners eating dog food here cos they can?t afford proper nutrition? who can afford a load of pets? That whole Puppy and Kitty Mill thing should be feckin monitored better...
And don?t even get me started on the way they keep/raise slaughter animals and fowl? THAT is DISGUSTING for the most part. It?s high time animals got given SOME kind of rights. I mean, I don?t expect they?ll ever be on par with humans (LOL!) but feck?s sakes? we?re supposed to be a civilized society.(

Ahh, gotta love them.) My kitchen counter stools HAD rattan weave seats... thanks to Dougie they're pretty much unrecognizable now. And heaven help ye if ye sit on them in shorts! :egad:

Zenner reportage... have some aches from yesterday's yard work and feeling every one of my 50 years today. I've been taking anti-inflammatories and hoping the aches will feck orf. It's feckin hot & humid and I'm officially SICK of this weather now. In fact, think I may go for a dip in the pool to try and lift my spirits... not in the best mood today tbh. Been looking at the wheely bin lying on it's side out there (feckin bin men) since I sat at the 'puter and still haven't gone to bring it in! Feck it!
With all these fecks I should be on the feck thread...
