    Army Thread Tuesday 10th September

Sorry I'm a bit late just been having a big think.

Remember the lad (37) that I was really upset about the other week as his alcoholism just couldn't get any worse.

I afraid to say he was found dead this morning in his flat. I could fucking weep, fucking 37 years old for fucks sake.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Oh blimey...that's awful, Jackie. 37 is far far too young to die.

How evil is this disease. So sorry that this has happened to someone that you knew. Never mind that he was a son

It's just awful. Could help thinking about the young 'uns on here.

Reccy, that's exactly what we said. His struggles are over now and he's at peace. Oh God though his poor ma and pa.

Enough, enough, enough. Better news in the next post.

We did have one client today that had celebrated one year alcohol free and he brought his puppy in. A wee Jack Russell called Meg. She's 6 months old and is as sweet as sweet can be. Just been spayed so she had one of them little cones on her head that's why he didn't want to leave her at home. Not something we normally encourage.

Tried to smuggle her out in my shopping bag.

Oh and I did get me CV in.

Now it's just wait and see. They're interviewing this week and next. Fingers crossed.

I was hoping you were gonna say they'd offered you the job Jackie...damn! But I do like the "alkie gets puppy and celebrates 1 year AF" story.

Mind you I did wonder why on first sight of me they didn't just throw the CV in the bin and offer me the CEO straight away but I suppose they have to go through the formalities first.

It wouldn't be fair on the others.

                                Evening folks :wavin:

Quick shout in afore I have me soak n hit the leaba! Another long day lies in wait

Jacks- how very sad for that young man, his family and all who knew him. 'Tis scary to think he's only a couple of years older than I. Scary and the reality of where my 'problem' would no doubt lead.

Well done on leaving in yer CV:goodjob:

Hiya Reccie, MrsA, Molls, Satz n anybody else about :hiya: Hope ye are all keeping well?

Any word from our Mr D'Arsey? Do I need to board the next boat for Stranraer and go seek him oot?
