    Locations ... anyone ...????

Tawny, Hello from my litte corner of the planet earth. Were I live we have four seasons, all very beautiful. I live on a small lake which is full of fish and beautiful birds. I can take my boat out most everyday in the summer or sit on my pier every spring, summer and fall. In winter we can ski or snowmobile or just grumble about the cold. We have an abundance of farming with fresh corn on the cob in summer and vegetables available on corners from the farmers. We have festivals and fun and neighbors we see in summer.

P.S. In the U.S. we have a show called planet earth on the discovey channel and it takes my breath away even though I am only watching it on T.V.

        Oh, I'm loooooving this!

Some Canadian friends have sent me pics of snow in their yards ... that amount of snow would fill my water tanks for a couple of years. And here I am ... carrying buckets of grey water from sink to palm to bamboo. (The hydrangeas will get a turn tomorrow.) I have NEVER seen snow in that proportion. I have never seen the beauty of ice rain on a chain link. I have never seen icicles (sp?) hanging off my gutters. I have never been to Argentina. I only spent a little time in Paris. I have lived in Richmond, Surrey for a while and adored it....

This just blows me away. Thank you, all, for your wonderful contributions.

Well.....I wonder where Belle is from!

I saw my first groundhog this week!
              The armadillos run rampant!
              The bugs are huge!
The steamy heat can be unbearable!

              But.......

The stars number in the millions!
              The catfish are jumping!
The deer feed in my yard!
              The bunnies love my lettuce!
I can grow it year round!
A stream flows through it! (God made)
No need for a tanning bed!
The tomatoes are over a pound each!
A tire swing in a tree is the best plaything.
Neighbors still drop by for a visit!
              When they leave they say:
              "Come go with us"
              When they leave we say:
"Y'all come back now you hear?"

              :h The Belle
AND BEST OF ALL I CAN
"Be still and know that I am God"

I am in New york City. It's a city of extremes. The weather is really unpredictable right now, It should be warm but instead it's cold (45 F)and windy, it rained heavily yesterday.

There are times when I walk down the street looking at all the tall buildings and I imagine it's a giant breathing canyon, Then there are times when I am sitting in the overcrowded subway looking at all the people pressed against each other reading, listening to music and trying to make the crowded trains seem easy. sometimes it's overwhelming other times you feel a sense that we are somehow bound together.
New york is really about people, human beings and what humans create and how they manipulate an environment.
There is a certain human charge here that you cannot feel in other cities.

                          Tawny,
New as I am to forums ((this is my first and only)(I could be lying?)).
I have no idea of the stuff that could be gleaned from my posts.
My first username was my email address (I'd made an arse of registering).
However, I, like you and everyone else here, live in the real world.
I know the risk of even logging on.
I take every single word that is said on the boards to be true.

So Tawny, Google Earth Argentina. Wonderful country, has all the climates, whatever you you. Sounds like advertising, but it is really an amazing country!!
Make some more "virtual travel!" Do the same also with my home-country: Finland. That's on the "top" Argentina is "upsidedown?!".

I live in a gated community on the water in Miami, Florida. I am 3 houses from the bay and from my kitchen and family room you can see a steady stream of boaters and kayakers who wave as they pass by. In my backyard we see iguanas sunning themseves, manatees looking for food, hawks, herons , egrets and unfortunately plenty of mosquitos at dusk. I love Miami because you can connect with nature by boat yet there is plenty to do. We have a fabulous zoo where the animals are not in cages but, environments similar to the ones they would have in the wild, Seaquarium, beaches, great shopping, the New World Symphony, three different ballet companies, plays, The Improv ....I could go on and on Plus we are 3 hours from Disney and an hours from the Keys.
Sometimes I wonder...."Why is that frisbee getting bigger?"...and then it hits me.
