thanks guys! tbh if I can get through freshers fortnight (they torture me by having a whole fortnight, not just a week!) sober then I think I'm pretty damn set. temptation to have a drink is literally everywhere, first thing i get offered when I get here? theres a party later, drinks are a pound. thank you student union... mostly hiding in my room drinking hot chocolate n skypeing with the wife haha.

Morning All!

Firstly, congrats to Inchy and Happy birthday to Pinky!

Hope everyone else is doing well. Have been away on hols so thought I would drop back in and see your lovely faces.

KTAB - we all say it too many times, but keep on keeping on mate.

I'm not too fond of this weather either, but at least it keeps me indoors and out of mischief!

Have to say -- when I was much younger --- there was a certain mystique about other's who didn't drink and were happy to join in and participate in the bit of craic anyhows --- always felt there was 'more about them' tbh!!!
Anything you CAN participate in during Fresher's 'week' that won't endanger you or maybe isn't completely booze linked if you can be seen??

Yes and that transferred to my first job. One guy didn't drink - was the life & soul of the party. A nutter !
I was actually in awe of him and his confidence. tbh
He went on to be Senior manager in said company - loved by all for the craic!

Been sickie bad over weekend like a tummy bug kinda thing- sooo ill and then so down with being ill. Still dodgy but had to get up this morn to let plumbers in. One arm and leg left after paying them! They've told me my shower which is only 4 yrs old is banjaxed so looks like will be losing the other arm and leg in near future!:upset:

Hafta go clean up after them and then hope to lay down again! Just not in the humour for doing anything
