Quick shout-in from me when have a mo.

Inchy- congratulations on 30 Days :woot: so happy and proud for you

    Happy Birthday Pinky

Molls- don't be workin too hard now ya hear?! That 'ol gossiping lark can get wild tiresome!

Big waves to everyone else :waving:

Been sickie bad over weekend like a tummy bug kinda thing- sooo ill and then so down with being ill. Still dodgy but had to get up this morn to let plumbers in. One arm and leg left after paying them! They've told me my shower which is only 4 yrs old is banjaxed so looks like will be losing the other arm and leg in near future!:upset:

Hafta go clean up after them and then hope to lay down again! Just not in the humour for doing anything
Hiya Sweetie I also have a sick bug today cannot stop throwing up. Horrible-- So glad it came today not yesterday when I was running.
Love to everyone and again special thanks to the lovely JC family who are so kind and made me feel so welcome.

Hiya EW I'm not too fond of it either, not least cos most of my mischief-making happens indoors :upset:

      Hope you enjoyed your hols

You're too conscientious for your own good sometimes, molly! You needn't have worried - I'm a terrible one for for forgetting/failing to respond.

Best of luck EW, it would be brilliant if you got it.

Sorry you're not well peapie and it's a shame it happened during your time off work. Can empathise with you over the plumbers - I'm still hurting from the bill I had last month.

            :waving: @ a?body else!

Shite weather here today? got the electric going on and orf. The weather wasn?t very co-operative for a BBQ yesterday either but some folk came over all the same. I?ve said I?ll do a replay next Sunday (perhaps that was rash of me?!) :egad: One nice gentleman brought marinated squid and marinated skirt steak for the grill? with home made chimichuri? vewwy impressed I was. He can come back again. My friend Kenny did a New Orleans style shrimp boil with massive big prawns. I was feeling quite useless at one point? hahaha!

The floors are awfully manky today so cleaning?s the main thing on my agenda.

Now orf for another squizz before my Comcast and/or leccy disappears again.

I hope the bug-infested troops will soon be better :l

Day 1 of the conference was quite good. One of the keynote speakers this morning was Lewis Pugh - the guy who swam at the North Pole, Mount Everest and the Maldives to raise awareness of climate change. Very inspirational. The flipside is that people like that always kinda make me feel bad about myself and my shortcomings.

Mmmmm... not sure if I'd make it. Not overly fond of pesto, which is similar. Very intense herbs are just too... intense :H

But yeah - as with most things like that, the jarred variety would just not be the same as the real stuff. That's why I like making jam - the process adds to the fruit, rather than merely preserving.

I would like to share something very personal that's happened to me today, and hope everyone is ok with this. Also hoping it'll get lost in the threads a bit too so not TOO public.

                            OK.

Was in a smallish supermarket way back from gym today mulling over the reduced section. Suddenly a bloke says really loudly "Are you such and such(a christian name)?", I said "Yes", he said "You went to such and such primary school", "Yes". He then said

"You were badly bullied, I remember you crying are you ok now?"

I said "Yes I'm ok", he said "Good so long as you've not killed yourself or anything" all this was said quite loudly in full earshot of other shoppers(infact over one shoppers head).

I ran away muttering "this isn't the place", almost burst into tears over the potatoes.

Yes I was bullied but people say "Och, all children are bullied" as if it's not that bad.

If someone I have nothing to do with for 25+ years sees me and says that right up front, methinks it was pretty bad(I know it was bad). At the time I was told to ignore it, on the few occasions I retaliated I was the one who was made to look bad and punished.

Afterwards I wanted go running back shouting "Yes it did F* me up, yes I did try and kill myself with booze and several overdoses but I'm here, I've had therapy and I'm hoping to train to help others", obviously I didn't but I truly wish I had shouted that back at him.

There was an incident about 18 years ago when my boyfriend told someone who had been at school with me he was seeing me, she immediately said "she was really bullied at school, it was awful how she was treated".

It's obviously affected me, I'm very much a loner as a result awkward with people which is why I like the internet so much.

                            Thanks for reading.

I just cannot comprehend the levels of commitment it takes to achieve feats like that.
