How to take L'glut under tongue?

    Hi!

I have a question about taking the L'glut under the toungue for sudden urges. I have the capsules with the powder inside...is that the right type or is it a liquid gel pill?

    Thanks!

      Re: lglut

Hi Kate, I get my L-glut in bulk powder so I just take a scoopful..It's cheaper for me that way and I can get a couple of grams immediately. It does work great and it works great for the sugar and carb cravings too.

CV, you say a scoop full. Do you mix it in water, or put in under your tongue?

I just put it right under my tongue. No water. It's a tasteless fine powder so it dissolves quite quickly. The scoop that came with my kit is about a tsp so 3400 mg and it works great! Lasts a long time too.

My Lglut has a liver warning on it. Know anything about that?

              Re: lglut

Nancy, l-glut is protective of the liver and helps it metabolize ammonia, etc, however, there are some cautions...Anyone with liver or kidney problems, Reye?s syndrome, or any type of disorder that can result in an accumulation of ammonia in the blood should not take glutamine, as it may aggravate these conditions.

This actually sounds like a contradiction but, if your liver is already compromised by excess ammonia, it may be working too hard and the l-glut may make it work harder. In cases like that, I would talk to your doctor to check out milk thistle/silymarin, which are more protective of the liver and don't increase the activity.
