    Breaking Bad

I have found that lately what I have really gotten into is watching Breaking Bad. It just won an Emmy last night. Anyway, I can't believe that I have not gotten into it until about 2 months ago. I watched all 4 seasons on Netflix and watched the what was available of season 5 on Demand. The very last episode is playing next Sunday. I love it. Watching it has really helped me distract myself from drinking in the evenings, especially since my husband left. It's really been "saving" me from drinking.

Anyway, I'm sure I will go thru Breaking Bad withdrawal once the show is over. I am looking for a new show to get into, either on Netflix or on Demand. You have to make a commitment to these shows since you need to watch the whole season to get the story, so I am pretty selective. The shows that I have loved and been able to watch the entire show are: Arrested Development, Extras, Downton Abbey, Mad Men, House of Cards (American Version)., Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I am out of shows and looking for a new one. American or British TV would be great. Thanks in advance!

          Breaking Bad

          Hi Looking,

The kids and I have been utterly 'Lost' in several Netflix series...
LOST is actually one of them! We loved it.
          The X Files
          Once Upon A Time
          Star Trek Voyager
          The Walking Dead
Your right. These shows have been, my saving grace.
I'm watching Star Trek right now!

My husband and I have just started watching House Of Cards and we love it...we catch epiosed when the kids are in their study hour...

I've been thinking about Starting Breaking Bad...is it age appropriate ? The girls are 11...
I don't let them watch House of Cards and I'm sorry I let them watch The Walking Dead...big fat mistake.

          :l:h

My partner and I are addicted to "Suits". The withdrawals at season end are up there with Sopranos.

                  Love Dexter.

You have to wonder , how on earth the Americans could make a series of House of Cards , The Final Cut etc as they have no aristocracy, no history of the Scots, the English then the Battenburghs. .. The whole thing more or less finally came down to the Stuarts (sort of). I loved that line when Ian Richardson was with Michael Kitchen and reminds him he is not a Stuart but a Battenburgh.

I haven't seen the American version though.

Those are great suggestions. I think all of those are available on Netflix. I will try House of Cards (British version) next. I love Netflix because you can watch as much as you want at one time and if you start watching a series and don't like it, you move on. It's not like you have to buy or rent the dvd's.

Breaking Bad isn't for 11 olds. There is violence and a little bit of sex. I'd reserve it for at least 17 and up.

                          Breaking Bad

I haven't used my Netflix since I broke my foot! It was my entertainment at the gym...I could work out for hours because I was lost on my iPad with a movie or show. Now I'm thinking I need to either go back to the gym or watch it at home...let's see....

I couldn't believe people at the gym would actually ask me what I was watching and what it was about...like I was going to explain it to them while working out? Rude.

There are some great documentaries on Netflix!!
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

                            Breaking Bad

I'm a big Netflix fan myself. I'm a Scot living in the USA so I watch shows from both sides of the Atlantic. My faves are:

                            Shameless (Brit)
Little Britain (Brit... no kidding, right?!)
                            Saxondale (Brit)
                            Breaking Bad... of course
                            United States of Tara
Orange is the New Black (this one is quite new)
                            Dexter
                            Mad Men
                            Addiction
and I watch some Gavin and Stacy (Brit)

Shameless and Breaking Bad are my faves.

If you go to Google and type in "Best Netflix shows 2012 2013" you'll get lots of suggestions!

We started watching Revenge last night after reading this thread and we're liking it thus far... )
