on a side note realised today is day 40 AF... I think my all tie record since I was 13 is about 45 days? so kinda looking forward to beating that soon

Sorry you've had a tough week molls, I hope things are looking up a bit. Being busy at work's not necessarily a bad thing - as you say, it can make the day go more quickly.

All's well here thanks. Amy's growing rapidly and I'll be taking her for her first walk tomorrow (or is she taking me? ) Got to head out for my run now, but I'll be back later. It's really good to see you again!

They are dirt cheap over here and I'll send you one if you think you won't need to plug it into the wall for anything (110/220 scenario...)

Move back to me folks tomorrow... It's prolly gonna be a bit of this :egad: but maybe also a bit chilled - to begin with. Will be staying with friends up in Aberdeenshire for 3 days during the week. Start the new job on Tuesday. So last night in the cottage pie tonight.

Incheroo... How did the drawing in The Smoke go today?

EW... My fat head was totally out of itself with the meds! They gave me nitrous oxide (it's laughing gas but I didn't find anything funny unfortunately), then I had to take a xanax when I got home with a percocet and antibiotic. And take the percs and antibiotics thereafter. Can anyone say flyyyyyyyiiiiiing?!!!

Well, it's LASHING down here... right storm. And I'm sitting with a heid on me like a feckin balloon! The extra stuff the surgeon (very kindly I hasten to add) did has caused a bit of swelling and bruising. I'm trying to ease back on the pain meds as I was off my tits on them yesterday! It's actually a bit sore though so I think I'm going to have to take one soon.

Here's an interesting "addiction factoid". I filled a script for 10 percocet yesterday and I am reliably informed that the "street price" for percs here where I live is up to $15 a pill. My script cost me $6.95 for 10. How is that for a mark-up when you buy on the street? And how is that for the lengths people will go to to get their drug of choice? It's, like, the light bill can go unpaid but huge amounts of money will be spent on drugs or grog or whatever the addiction is. Addiction is something to be reckoned with, for sure.

Of course, I can't understand the hoo ha about it all and yer wouldn't catch me DEAD paying $15 for a lousy feckin pill. Sorry if there are pill addicts reading, but that's what I think. The drug addicts think alkies are rubbish and their drug of choice is crap and it ruins your body faster than a speeding bullet (all true but also true of hard drugs) but one thing to be said for alcohol addiction is it's legal and cheap. Which probably makes it one of the hardest things to give up.

(I would like to make a disclaimer that at the time this photo was taken, it was not known that a school of piranha fish were heading in their direction (due to the lad on the left having a wart that got itchy and bled). These poor folks were later found rather less well formed than before.


In this regard, UKB is right - you can pick up nasty things from footbaths. I still contend, however, that footbaths are goodbaths.)
