Yeah Questynickers... it was a big day for you today. (You and Arsey both actually.) Why don't you just try talking things through? There are a lot of open ears here on the thread that are willing to be here for you when you need them. Kind of like therapy without the therapist! (Unless Pinky's in da house!)

You know Questy... there have been SO many times I've been on here, tits up in the bottle, listening to how the others are making it work for them. I know how you're feeling just now. It's rough when you think you're the only one that isn't making a go of it but the reality is that there are more people that are NOT making a go of it than ARE. You're not in the minority hun... you're in the majority.

Unless your health is being compromised, every day you drink less or nothing at all is a step in the right direction. If you are in the lucky position where alcohol is not impacting your life too much then you can work towards it steadily at your own pace if that's what you choose to do. I felt that I needed a sharp shock but that is me... and everyone is different.

Whatever the situation is Questy... stick around. You're a lovely woman and that is clear from your posts.

I haven't always been sober, it's only since I got here that something clicked. I was to put it mildly a fucking mess before that.

Questy... take a look at the numbers Jacks is going to send you... you never know there might be something there that is a good fit for you. It's different for everyone. Jacks got straight using MWO after trying MANY times with outpatient rehab and detox. MWO alone didn't work for me at all.

I believe the one thing that Jackie and I have in common is that we both started to open up and talk about our feelings instead of stifling them. I'm not saying it will bring about world peace (!) but I really think that is a big part in getting ones self back on track. I had it described to me very plainly... I was not having a nervous breakdown, I was burnt out on life. Those words have stuck in my mind. At the time I thought I was loosing my marbles!

If it makes any sense to you or rings a bell that you might feel better for offloading some pent up feelings, I'd encourage you to do it on the thread as there are so many people that have lots of different ideas that might be able to shine a light on a key factor for you. And I'm only a PM away also...

He's found the phone charger.

Lunch was luvverly. Huge chicken ciabatta with rocket, parmesan, some tomatoey stuff and fries.

Got Sir Pee a little badminton set from Poundland it cost errrrrrrrrrrr a pound.

Well, I've just gone and taken a look at my fisog and there is no way I'm going out for dinner! :H I think I may have been presumptuous when I said it didn't hurt and all. Now that the pain pills are totally out of my system it hurts like a bugger!

I'm orf to take a pill and go and lie down with the laptop. If I burble in an hour or so you'll know whats up!!! :H

Oh boy... I love rocket. I've been going to this place that does half price food (until the tourists get here in the winter no doubt) from 11am to 6pm. They have a carpaccio, arugula (rocket) and parmesan dish that is drizzled in truffle oil. O.M.G. To die for. And it costs $6.50 for a plate that's so big I wouldn't be able to fit it in me upper kitchen cupboard!

Can you take a video of him with the badmington set pliz! :H
