Hi all'
I was out sick again today. Had to take the kids to the dentist and both have cavities this time. Did not take that long but didnt feel like going to work. Still kinda weak but much better than yesterday. Tex that sounds cool having a farm and having to stay up all night cuz of the horses. I just love anything to do with nature and animals. Have been sitting out in the yard this afternoon and there are just tons of blackbirds in the trees across the road. They sound like a thousand squeaking doors. We are ready to watch Survivor too. The kids are counting the hours. Cindi I am with you. Lets do it!! love bird

Cindi, that is right girl. You can do this. We can all do it. I KNOW YOU can do this. I get tired too, never stop fighting. Sometimes I just get sick of having to fight my own mind, but we KNOW what drinking does for us. Please call me anytime you have a rough spot!

Cindi, I just saw on the other thread you were having a hard time, this has been a long hard week for several of our crew....I know D is having heck too....Here's hoping to everyone feeling better, and more positive tomorrow...tomorrow is another opportunity to lick this thing....DX, D is sure lucky to have you, you are the best, and I hope he gets to feeling better soon...bless his heart....And Cindi, hang in there....Bird, I'm still down and out with this crud too....zero energy, the hair on my arms hurt...thats bad, when the bedsheets irritate you....geeezzzzz....the flu sucks....Nibs, I'll bet I'll be able to hear you tooting your horn from your barn to mine...lol...I wondered what that cloud was coming from West Texas, now I know it was Bear's exhaust! Today I'm off and will be making cinnamon buns and bread.. We ran out of bread this morning, and Hubby will take #2 son icefishing tomorrow morning.. Cinnamon buns will be the bribe to get snoozy son out of bed at 6 am. They haven't had a fishing trip with just the 2 of them in quite awhile. Well, I should get crackin !!! Hugs, xxx

Morning all....well, I feel lots better, thank God! I'm just not one to stay home sick...yuck...the sun is out, and its warmer, and all is better! Think I'll go out on the porch and get some sun on my pasty skin! Nibs, yum, cinnamon buns sound great on a cold morning, the smell would be a big motivation to get up and running I'm sure....I've got to get to the grocery store, the cupboards are BARE...I mean naked totally....Hope everyone else is better today too! Will check in later!

Cindi, boots, and Bird; good for you. It isn't easy to start with, but you can get through this one day at a time. Just don't drink today; no long range plans. Each day will take care of itself.

Tex, you sound better. It is really nice here and I already have been out on the scooter. I love it when it is warm enough to ride.

Hi all'
I'm feeling alot better also. One of my kids spent the night at a friends so it was just me and my little one and we hit the sack at 8;30. They have a birthday party to go to tonight and tomorrow we are going to the circus. Hey I bought a juicer. My 1st juice was too hot but I drank it anyway. I just dont feel like eating alot of salad in the winter yknow? I can just cram all my veggies in the juicer. Later on. love bird

Luv, hope you are feeling better. I think February is a tough month, a big let down after the holidays, people are tired and cranky (at least I am) dark, lousy weather (at least where I live), the flu hitting big time. It's a time that people are sad. I know I am.

Reading some of Cindi's recent posts and seeing her signature.......I FORGIVE MYSELF......I SET MYSELF FREE.

The first therapist I went to practiced TAT (Tapas Accupressure Technique, it seemed a bit weird at the time, well, maybe more than a bit weird). There is a website, I think it is called TAT for Life.

You get into this weird pose with your hands on your head. Go thru a series of steps. But it usually had such a calming effect on me, usually felt relief.

The therapist and I also developed some sayings for particular times. One saying that she had was "I hand all of this over to you God (or whatever your beliefs are), and thank you for loving me in the midst of it all".

Cindi you words reminded me of that saying, your use of the word "serenity" in another post reminded me of that as well.

Starting day 12 today. Yikes! Didn't think possible. If I can do this, hopefully I can banish "sad" and find some serenity soon.

Well, the fellas headed out bright and early so I've enjoyed a blistfull morning so far... Ahhh !!! While the coffee was brewing I fed the animals and did all the barn chores... then crochetted some more of my afghan while watching Home and Garden Television.. I've yet to hit my gym which is on my "to do " list ...
