Well, yesterday we got all the putty on, and today we will sand somemore. It is pretty messy but drop sheets help alot. It is super windy out today but we supposed to get above freezing this afternoon.

Well my fine friends, we got a big case of the "lazies" today so the painting didn't get done... Oh well we watched movies with the boys and I worked on my afghan... It's getting bigger !!! Painting can wait until one day this week, quality time is more important
Tonight the fellas are having deepfried fish and frenchfries... Me, I'm not quite sure what I will have just yet. Something will come to mind, but actually I think that I'll have my favourite, tomato soup !!! Yum !!! see ya all tomorrow xxx

good morning all thought i'd check in and say hello before up and adam and work time. but this week i resign from corporate gig. whoop whoop. so adding back 3 1/2 days to my life. whoop whoop. i've never worked so hard in all my life i think. woww, that is saying something. bearsy hope the trails are beautiful out there. i had to laugh hard the other day at corporate gig as a tattoo owner of several shops came into the place to buy supplies. we sell medical supplies. and he and i got to chatting as well i was an artist and an owner 20 years ago. everyone just stared at me in the place when he left becuause i so don't look like i was ever in that environment. ahahahahahahahahahhaha look more like bev hills. anyway, i was like oh yes i'm an inker. hahahahaaha it was funny. i promised to come smoke a cigar with him sometime. we knew all the same folks. too funny small world. cheers and happy painting nibs. i want to do that next on this place. but for now we tore out and are fixing a shower.

Hello again. All is well in Texas today. Little cool on the ride to work, but all in all not a bad start. I hope you all are doing well. Seems I don't have enough time to spend here just shooting the sh*t and finding out what is up. I miss being able to "see" you guys.

Bootsie - I am so happy you dropped one of your jobs. Your health is waaaayy more important than $$. Perhaps your next trip to Lenair should have something to do with being addicted to work? :H How are you feeling these days? Not just the AF but the physical issues?

Nibs - A day off of sanding and painting is a good thing. I hate that job!! Especially the sanding of the wallboard. Go through lots of masks doing it and cuss the whole time.

Magic - How are you doing? You always send out special prayers and love to all but I want to know YOU are okay, too. (ps have you heard from Bashley? He disappeared again.)

TNT - Loved your prayers post. Reread it several times. Thanks so much!!

Bear - Enjoy the riding but be careful!! Glad you are enjoying life, though.

Luv - Thinking of you every day. I will try calling again today. Take good care, sweetie. We all are waiting patiently for you to be able to come back. Sending prayers for your mama, too. :l

Daughter got out of detox and started drinking again right away. Crushing pain in my heart. Devastating. I am repeating the Serenity Prayer often during the day. God is the only thing that can get me through this. I do know she has to finally decide to do it herself and no one else, including this loving mama can make it happen. One would think certain death would be enough but apparently not. However, I vow to remain sober myself. Drinking myself into oblivion land will certainly not help and I so enjoy the sober me much better than the drunken me.

Could you get your daughter into rehab to give her more time secluded from AL? Good luck to you both!

Thank you for your kind words. You make me feel good about myself.

I have offered rehab several times. I have even told her we could research different ones and let her pick. I would borrow whatever amount of money I need to in order to help.

She is not "ready."

I am considering calling Lenair and talking to Barry about her and see what he thinks. I have a feeling Lenair might help but perhaps not if she is not ready.

I know it doesn't always work if someone isn't ready and I know you know she's scared, but is there ANY way she'd go, just for a couple of days? This is so frustrating to me....I can't even imagine how you must feel!!! Good idea talking to Barry! It sure can't hurt.

My hat goes off to you. You are showing such strength and courage. You are right about your daughter needing to "want" to make the change. My liver enzymes were elevated and I was sitting on the fence for diabetes II and that wasn't enough to make me stop. It took me a year and half before it got through to my thick noggin. Once it gets through to you, you wish so much to could share "that" with others, so they could start to heal too. But, the person does have to "want" it themselves. I hope Barry is able to provide you with some insight. If anything, you are leading by example for your daughter and that is wonderful!! I hope so much that light goes off for your daughter soon. :h

oh that lamb sounds gooood. hello all and checking in. oh cindi so sorry to hear about your daughter. i'm afraid that she will have to be the one that makes that call to barry. you can't help someone that isn't ready to make that change. and well for me paying that money was a reinforcement of wow i really don't want to even think about drinking. hahahaha. so miss you all and i did indeed send in resignation letter and if they accept the terms i'll go down tomorrow and friday and finish out what i've started. so yes cindi my reason for going back to lenair is to conquer this "give it all away" mode. it is an underlying beast that just doesn't lend to having a beautiful peaceful life if i'm always caught up working so much and doing so much for others and not saving any bootsie for me. nibs how is cody? i think of cody and just wanted to know. birdie did you go out on a date/ bear i know you are out riding and well it's cold here so bundle up. all else i am sending you love and light. magic girlie i did write so keep that light on.
