Been on the road almost 4 hrs now.....some pretty country. started some supps this morning too. David, my 16 year old has been getting into non stop trouble all year, we can't figure out what to do w/ him, he is in counseling now, then last Friday he got caught shoplifting in the mall, handcuffed and paraded through the mall by the cops, has to do community service, and wrote us a really apologetic letter in which he told us BTW, I am gay.................I told him I love him no matter what, we talked about sexuality, I drank last weekend, cuz I don't know if I was doing it right??!! Saying, doing the right things, then we need to punish himfor various other issues he as pulled in the past months, it is a fine line I am balancing on................OH MAN!!! I will grow and learn from it, right!!??

Thanks for listening, I guess I wrote the initial entry on another thread, got some support and website for parents of gay young men, which I am going to research soon.................

Luv, my hubby is like that too when travelling !!! What is it with fellas and potty breaks, or rather the lack of potty breaks ??!!! When we drove 8 hours to Southern Ontario to pick up little Kiwi and Niblet (my avator and his best friend) Gary actually put a 5 gallon bucket in the back of his cargo, work van that we were driving for the trip... He actually used it too !!! Gosh, if that aint a redneck, then I don't know what is !!! Haaa !!! Haaa !!!! Me, I opted to stop in at a coffee shop...

Geez it took me forever to get caught up. I got laid off for 5 weeks starting Monday. Thank God, maybe I can AF the whole time this time. My second chance. Went off anty middle of last week cuz I had to get shots and ended up getting drunk over the weekend....went for orientation and class registration today and was so glad to get that over with. Have no "trigger stuff" coming up anytime soon so hopefully I'll make some serious AF time. The orientation day was a big stress for me and have not slept well for 3 nights thinking about it but its over now and hope to sleep well tonight. The girls are watching the remake of Planet of the Apes. I liked the old one. Luv I cant wait to here about Lenair. Please give us a very detailed description. C.G. sorry you are having a hard time with your son. My best friend has an 18 y.o. gay son and I have watched her go through every emotion trying to deal with it and finally just accepting it. stopped in pennsylvania last night...we are 30 minutes from niagara right now...so excited we could bust. I think I have seen a million wineries...I had no idea there were so many here. grapes growing everywhere. hell I would never stay sober around here if I lived here. glad to have ya back bird....missed you

Hi all,
Went out blueberry picking this A>M. A guy I do some welding for sometimes has 9 acres of blueberries and we picked about 3 gallons and ate about a gallon already. My landlord brought a Wal-Mart bag full of plums off his tree, and we are starting to get some tomatoes out of our garden. There are people sitting out on the roads selling watermellons and cantaloupes for 1$. Even the farmers market has gigantic watermelons for 4$. The peaches are wonderful this year and we are just loaded down with fruit. Went to IHOP this AM for breakfast. The kids had never been there and I thought they would want some of the fancy pancakes, but 1 got cheeseburger and the other grilled cheese. Go figure. good day to all....love bird

Yummy Bird! That's funny about the girls and IHOP, you would think they'd want a groovy, fancy breakfast feast huh! Glad you have sometime off to go AF, I'm working on my first 30 dys AF too...I was going to start Friday, but I was so tired from driving a million miles, and the horse show, that I was cooking so I could go to bed early, and hubby sat down a glass of wine on the kitchen cabinet for me, and I hadn't told him I was going to take the anabuse that night, and in my tired absentmindedness, I drank it while cooking, then went OH CRAP! So, I'll just start tomorrow, on Sunday for the new week! Opps! Anyway, glad More2 got the pics up, and thanks Cowgal for the compliments!!! BTW Cowgal, my brother is gay, my cousin is gay, my aunt was gay (she passed away), and my cousin's son is gay.....LOL.....think it runs in the family??? All on my Dad's side of the family too! My brother acted out really bad before he came out, so maybe your son will settle down now that he's gotten that off his chest! My bestest horse friend is like a brother, and he's gay too....I had to tell him he was tho....lol.....he was surprised, but sure felt better! I have massive GAYDAR...that's gay radar combined, so not too many get past me! I love my gay guys, they'll go shopping with you and never bitch, and they'll tell you if something looks crappy on you, or if your butt looks big! They are tooooo much fun! Good morning all....head to Vermont today! Niagara Falls has been a BLAST! Nibs...they wouldnt let me in to Canada....if you have ever had a DUI, they won't allow you in!!!! So, we stayed on the US side and took a boat tour all down in the falls and got to see both sides really good and take pictures. Glad we hadnt planned to meet cause I wouldnt have been able to see you. Another reason why drinking must end....that DUI will haunt me for ever.

Are you serious? How'd they know if you had a DUI if you just flipped them your passport? That's weird! Hell we can't catch terriorists in the USA, and Canada can keep you out by a DUI!? Something is wrong with our country! lol Hope you have a great trip to Vermont, betcha its not 104 heat index there today, like it is here! I'm about finished with my domestic goddess chores, have several things cooked up, and I'm doing the La Cense tenderloin on the grill tonight, and grilling my Chilean Sea Bass for this evening....its too hot to heat up the kitchen every night, so I try to do alot in a couple of sessions...lol...even with the A/C cranked down, its just yucky when the oven is on! Guess I could fry some eggs on the sidewalk! Heading to the pool, hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday!

Hello everybody
I worked my last shift today at the school... What a week I had last week!!! I will finially have a day off tomorrow only to have my darn tooth pulled at the dental surgeons office. I'll be so relieved though.

It's so good to see you again on the board Bird. I've missed you soo much. The fresh fruit you have there sounds scrumptious !! oh, the tea at the tea house is mostly loose leaf. We have approximately 45 varieties that I'll have to sample. The old school house that has been revamped is just so charming. Everywhere you look there are delicate trinkets all tea related... It is hard to describe really, but there are even old 100 year old text books on display. I really love the environment alot.

Luv, can you believe that you cannot come into Canada??!!!?? That is a crock of crap in your case. There are alot of horrible people with all the freedom in the world that nobody even blinks an eye at!! That is just rediculous! I've heard though that the view of the falls from the US is much nicer just the same. I'm really glad that you are all having such an amazing trip filled with memories to share forever.
I'll be thinking of you tomorrow as you go to Lenair. xxx

I'll give it a go and let you know how I make out... You sound so well and I'm gosh darn proud of you Sweetie !!! Our pool is now finially 73 degrees and hubby was in yesterday. Myself I swam at camp Saturday night after work. We took sometime on Sunday to clear the brush that was too close to the road. My arms are so sore from the 1 mile of clearing.

Well, I'm going to tuck in early because my appoinment with the dentist is 9 am.

TIT, Canada does not require a passport until 2009! All we needed were birth certificates and ID's.....well, shit! It was an adventure. It really didn't hinder our fun at all and we now have yet ANOTHER story to tell. I swear DUI's NEVER go away! I felt like a criminal all over again, but it was a good omen really...I said "girl, this is why you are on your way to Lenair"!!!!
We cook out alot in the summer too!
