Welcome HS mommy. Just keep trying everything until something works. Try some things over and over if it works even a little. Sobriety seems to come in bits and pieces......hey all,the lady called me about that house.Said her brother was gonna live in it. I'd already decided it was too high anyway so no big letdown. Been busy with the kids, took them to see a drum corp competition last night. Nibs your drummer would have loved it. Tomorrow we are going to a place I found on the internet not too far away. Some campground with a big mineral pool and skating rink and waterslide. Wasnt much info on it . Wanted somewhere not far cuz of the gas and somewhere we'd never been. Hope its not a dump. Luv, that quinoa stuff is good. I put it in soup or just eat it like rice. Its so cute and tiny. Canned some salsa today, we have so many tomatoes. CG hope Lenair works out for you. And I know you string some AF days together so that is something. Oky you sound great. Love you all...bird

Well, my baby was ten today. Had a BIG breakfast cooked for him this morning and then to the skating rink for a b-day bash. He had a great time. Then i made tacos for dinner...I am BEAT! Was a real good day though.

Hi all, it is Sunday, been a busy one at that, and I can't believe I have time to sneak on here and talk................I am at day 6 I think. Made it through a wedding AF, then a dinner for FIL birthday w/ a bunch of drinkers.................I am gonna make it Lenair or not, I think it is working this time, I just don't ever want to feel like I did last Monday and Tuesday again!:upset:

Hope you had fun today Bird, yeah the price of gas is putting a damper on things here too, but I have a free stay in Orlando next weekend, so we are going to do the drive to there, that ought to cost a fortune! But we have a free day and 1/2 at Universal/Islands of Adventure too, so can't complain..........

Kids got home from Belize last night, were gone for 10 days, boy did I miss them DEARLY!!! I am glad to have them back, but poor David has been sick all night last night and all day today, this has just not been his summer!!:upset:

HOOOORAY Cowgal, congrats on 6 days AF. I know you are feeling better. You sound very upbeat. Quinoa is kinda like rice. It is really good for you. You have to buy it at a healthfood store. Glad the kids made it home safe and sound.

My slow computer had a whack of emails and videos to download last Friday, so I was unable to touch base before heading out to camp...
A warm welcome BFJMommy (sp?)... We all can relate to the pain you are in... There is however light at the end of this tunnel. You and your family deserve you to be happy and healthy. Come here often and we will all do what we can to support you through this.

I've spent about 30 minutes just reading all the posts I missed and you all sound so gosh darn good. Pat yourselves on the back... I've been behaving myself and keeping super busy I do however wish that this rain would quit for about 5 or 6 days... The ground is totally saturated from dayly rains.

Cowgal, quinoa (pronounced keen' - wah) is a type of grain.You cook it like rice, but not as long. Very rich in nutrients. You can eat it like oatmeal or cream of wheat (consistency is rather like cream of wheat, depending on how much water you use) or like polenta with some sauteed veggies, etc. Google it and you will find out more about it and some recipe suggestions. Rhonda Lenair wants me to eat it 3 or 4 times a week. You ROCK on 6 days! Got those BGP on tight!!
