          30 days???

          Hi, Everyone,

Sorry about the ants, LUV, no advice from me either. I would call a plumber and ask??? I imagine poison would be a really bad idea. :H

Mary Anne, you sound so wonderful. Great to hear.

          TIT, check in girl.

Bird, really hope all that practice pays off you and get in the band and really enjoy it.

More2, I am jealous. I said it, so there!!

Nibs, Greenie, BearFamily, Oky, Mofof3 and Best sending hugs. :l

I ordered a hypnosis mp3, I really like it. I am going to listen to it daily. It is a form of meditation and I need that so badly.

I also added Baclofen to my current drugs. I am going to give it a real shot for reducing my stupid cravings.

Morrison - check in will ya?

          Love,

            30 days???

Hi everyone! Luv, sorry you are sick and a "Big Yuck" on the ant thing! That is way wierd! Sounds like their underground colony landslid into your pump/well, maybe. Probably will be a first for the plumber. Again, calm and quiet here, except work. Wed. is the day of the big meeting where the potential buyer and all his peeps (lawyers, accountants, business evaluators, etc) are having a pow wow with our company and all our peeps (same guys). They will be making the opening offer to buy us. Keeping my fingers crossed that this happens. It has been way stressful! NEWS FLASH! My son called me last night about 6:30 PM. Invited me to a neighborhood pub. He, some of his friends and a few of the other parents were going to be there. Hub was out of town for a few days, and all I was going to do was read ~~~ so ~~~ I actually went! Imagine! They have Kereoke on Sun. night. It was fun. Amazing, though. I had 3 ice waters in 4 hours. Everyone else drinking. Didn't bother me a bit. :H Crazy!

              30 days???

Hey All! Had stepdaughter and stepgrands here all weekend.....whew.....lol....I've been a stepgranny, since my oldest was 15!!! I hope I hold up til I have my own! I've just been like a one legged woman in an ass-kicking contest since we got home from Colorado...trying to get all our ducks in a row for the closing, its media correct, its a helluva lot of paperwork to get a mortgage right now, esp., for a second home, being self-employed...I think we've about got 'er done tho. I'm soooo hoping so, we're soooo excited, its really our sense of peace to be there, so I'm praying! MORE2, I know you are having a blast! Kauai is the place I've been a couple of times too, its fab! When my daughter first ventured out, at 17..she graduated early, it was for summer school at the Yale school of Drama...over 4500 miles away, she'd never been away from home without one of us that long, not even camp...lol...it was awful, thought I'd die, we stayed 2 dys to get her settled, and she called for us to pick her up the first night and come back to the hotel....we finally had to watch her cry all the way to class, and we took off from there, to be in the area, "just in case"....but still 3 hrs away, and went to Martha's vineyard, and all over Nantucket, and the New England coast....I got to Martha's vineyard, and felt a whole lot better about things......lol......grin grin! We all made it, and she went the next summer too, and has gone to some type of all summer long program since, she is in college nearby, but, I know you'll be ok.....you can go back and forth and see your baby, whenever ya want. It may surprise you later, that you go less than you think! I'm sure your Hawaii trip has been as good for you, as New England was for me at the initial break of the umbilical cord! Hurry home tho, I may need you to meet me in Colorado, I gotta pick out a whole house full of stuff, Cottage Bungalow style....SOS, 911, help! MA you can come too, any of you are welcome, may have to bring a sleeping bag first tho! I'm feeling more positive, I'm determined to kick this beast to the ditch, I love you each and everyone, and I promise to be here more often this week. I need ya'll to shout up some prayers tho....I leave for Hopkins on Sunday, and have my 4.5 yr. check up in Baltimore for cancer...I can't take anything but GOOD news after all the other the past 2 mos. Hubby is going with me, he has an evaluation about his back with the head of the spine dept., so we are staying the whole week of the 27th, will be back that Sat. the 1st...we'll stay long enough for testing, or whatever we may both need, plus, we get to go see our big guy the stud, at our friends, right outside of Baltimore....she's going to come hang out with us too, take a break from the farm and her hubby, they are together alot, so since my hubby is really a chilled out guy, and thinks its fun to be the only old fart with us having a slumber party, she just drags in her bags, and flops in the other bed, and we eat, talk, and walk, and try out new stores, shop, and do spa stuff, while I'm waiting on the news....keeps me entertained, and she gets a break from home. Hope everyone is doing great, ya'll sound awesome! Ants, Luv, did you leave some bananas in the pantry or something....lol....we had a field mouse the other night, must've ridden in with the firewood I brought in....scared me crapless, it was just sitting there on the wood, in the living room, like Ratatoullie or whatever his name was...just sitting on his hindend, nose twitching at us, just looking at us, like what the heck is this??? I couldn't kill it, it was kinda cute, as gross as that sounds, so we got the sticky trap, and turned him loose outside when he popped onto it......lol...... Love you all, will check in later!

                30 days???

                TIT,

I am sending prayers up right now that your checkup turns out great!! It will, I just know it.

:H on the mouse. I absolutely adore them but hate it when they get into the house. They destroy things with their pee and nesting. Ick. My cats and my dog keep them outside, though.

I have one of those traps that you can capture them and let them go. I am quite sure they just keep coming back. As long as all they are interested in is the dog food, it is okay. I'll just keep taking them somewhere else.

I just don't have the heart to kill them. They are cute. Luckily my cats have absolutely no compunction about killing them.

                Love,

Thanks Cindi! I know it'll be ok, God is bound to know, I'm just hanging by a thread already at the end of my coping rope, so surely, with all of you starting to shout up those prayers right now, I'll be fine! Mice are funny, and yep, a mess, ewwwwww......I hope he doesn't show up to watch Boston Legal with us tonight! I guess I need a cat that cares, our cat, thinks he's a dog, so he's zero help! lol Off to the gym, trying to keep my mind and body distracted and occupied with pure and non-drinking thoughts....lol....it feels lots better than trying to recop from a hangover.....Lordy, why we ever let ourselves do that, and have to recover, is just beyond me!

It has happened to me before as well, but I always had a guy to fix it...lol...and NO you cant put poison around your water supply. Thanks Bird...i called a friend as it is easily fixable. Ants are terrible here. AND living in the country it does no good to spray your yard if ALL your neighbors dont do it too.

                        30 days???

Oh my gosh, the mice. We have them coming into our house too now that the weather is cooler and they want to stay warm.

Cinders, we have one of those "mouse friendly" traps too. In the morning, we usually have 2 -3 in the trap. My girls love to watch them...they think they are cute too. Then my husband drops them off in a field on his way to work. Apparently, you have to take them about 1 mile away so they don't find there way back. Who knows, we could be catching the same ones every morning.

                        Have a great day all.

I am 6 months and 1 day AF today and proud of it.

                          30 days???

Morning all.....just checking in, hope everyone has a great day! I think I worked out too hard last night, I feel stove up! lol Guess I'll try to do a different set of reps today, and get another section of the old bod hurting, make it even out! It's a really pretty day today here in Texas, finally has cooled off a bit, and the hurricanes are at bay, and the sun is shining, and I'm just glad that the weather is kinda making me more cheerful. I'm really trying to pump myself up for my trip to Hopkins, so anything helps! I'd love to be headed to Colorado tho, but the closing, God willing, is after we get back, so I couldn't start on any projects anyway! Bird, it is always great to hear from you, glad all is well, and you have an exciting hobby going on, we all need something to be excited and passionate about! I'm not moving to Ft. Collins on a perm. basis, not yet anyway, too much stuff here in Texas still, but we are working towards moving in the next few years, got a lot of ducks to get in a row, and still have the farm, so we'd have to get more than a house in Old Town, if we moved for real....we may just sell this big 'ol house here, part of our farm, and build a smaller house at the farm, and just have 2 smaller places...the house in Old Town in Co., will make an excellent executive rental when we aren't there, so it's an investment too, gotta be more profitable than the stock market right now! Northern Co., is still pretty unaffected by the real estate bust, in fact, its up there, and rising.....maybe we'll be able to purchase a few fixer uppers after we are settled there, and that'll help getting there money-wise one day! Like I said, any of you are more than welcome to come and visit, or have it for a family gathering for yourselves, after I get it all stocked, and furnished, and all that! I plan on just taking the winter months to get it all in order. I have a few things I'd like to do, like put in a small gas fireplace in the upstairs living area, and cover the patio so we can be outside anytime...I love to cook, love it, so I want an outside kitchen area, and have a firepit, so we can enjoy the outdoors all we can. This distraction and planning, and brainstorming, and challenge, has helped me to have to drag myself out of the utter despair of late.....so, I thank God for letting us sell the hay meadow, and parlay this into a project for me, and to have a place that is so peaceful, and beautiful, and I'm really looking forward to meeting new folks! Sorry to just think, and type it out, but its kinda therapeutic for me! Sorry to bore ya'll....lol....I'll check in this evening, meantime, I love you all tons! NIBS, I just got the pics of your beautiful 4 legged girls, they are in such a wonderful home, and I know they bring you tons of joy, as you do them too! Pets are just the best! I hope More2 is having a great time, and went swimming with her Sis and the dolphins yesterday!

                              30 days???

I truly believe that! If I'm idle, I'm in trouble! And where we live now, in the middle of 27 acres, its wonderful, and my farm down the road is wonderful, but its kinda isolating too, that has been a problem for me, I'm really an extrovert! I do love having my space tho, and the peace of being out, and love just petting and kissing and loving on my horses, but I need some stimulation with folks more often! lol I have friends about 20 mins from here, and we get together and go to the next biggest town for lunch or pedicures, etc., but its an hour back, so its an all day excursion, ditto to see and do things with my son and daughter. We have lots of company, since I love to cook, and have a real entertaining type house, but, that leaves me with the same scenery I have all day here. Plus, our part of the business that is vet and trainer, and farm related, the custom formulas for the horses, dogs, etc., come into the computer here, so I have to spend time here each day if possible. I'm really looking forward to the best of both worlds, some solitude, and some socializing. The neighborhood in Colo. is really super special, and I'm excited to maybe meet some friends to even have a cup of morning coffee with, or have over for lunch, etc. I am excited to do some of the things I used to do in my home town, the same town that's an hour trip, lol.... I used to love volunteering at the soup kitchen, and trying to cheer folks up, and councel some of the single Mom's, been there, done that.....loved to do some of the events for the seniors, and take a pet to visit them.... and just be part of a community again! When we were there last, CSU had a big pep rally in the center of Old Town, and it was just super neat to get pumped up, and into the excitement! I guess its obvious we live in a place with not much going on....lol..... I hope too, that I kick this Beast, and can help others struggling too, there's a Celebrate Recovery there also. Its funny, I never, ever had a problem with overindulging, until after I QUIT a demanding, stressful job, running around the territory, being a pharm. sales rep. Not having and meeting goals, and having rewards for performance, and meeting new customers, solving problems and networking, etc., really seemed to leave me lost, and that's when the trouble began. Even tho my job involved and centered around drinking at cocktail parties, golf tourneys, you name it, it was after all that, that is became an issue. Weird huh! So I'm a true believer that the more you can do to keep your mind off drinking, and have lots to do instead of being bored, and popping a cork or tab, the better. I know if I just get to thinking about things that upset me, or stress me out, that I better get up, get out and go do something, QUICK. The gym, or just going down to the pharmacy and making deliveries to the lil older folks in town, and spending a minute or two with them, seeing their struggles, help me remember mine aren't all encompassing, and that lots of folks would trade problems with me lots of days. Lately, I'd just been so down in the dumps with the deaths, and devastation, I just couldn't pull myself up and out like I knew I needed to, and it back fired as usual. I'm going to talk the talk, and keep trying to walk the walk tho...I'm peddling to get back on track, and all of you are soooo important to me, in doing so. I love you all! Sorry again for the novelette!

                                30 days???

Hello everybody, I've missed you so much !!!
Milley and Freckles are truely best friends ! I'm so happy how everything has turned out...
Tonight after work I went for my first ride... Found out that pigs scare the $HIT out of her... gosh we went spinning into the ditch with her trying to bolt ! Not fun !!! I won't be going by that place again.
                                She is a real sweetie.

Well, I've thought about what to do about Marilyn and I'm going to document everything... I do get the feeling however that she knows I'm on to her somewhat... There is a way of adding a "pay-out" for any supplies needed on the bottom of any deposit forms, so I'll be suggesting that she uses that... She will likely tear my head off, but what to do... Usually she has me take money from students, not punch it into the til and that way there is more cash than what shows on the tape... Just like stealing.
I won't let this get me down... Life is much too short.

Luv, sorry about the ant problems, that has to be so horrible. This year they were bad here too.

Congratulations Bird !!!! You Rock !!! Literally !

I feel as though I'm so behind with you guys... I've really really missed you all. Tomorrow I have to go into work a half hour early to do all my vending machines... take readings, enter all the cash, redo my floats, inventory of what is still in them and then put it all on paper showing taxes, etc... so much paperwork and crap... oh well.

Hugs to each and everyone of you, you all mean so much to me, XXX
