WHEW........those are long hours. Makes me tired just thinking about it. Teenage girls are no easier...Brit drove me freakin nuts today. She is a pain in the ass. I love her but sometimes i wanna trade her for a 2 year oold...they are cute...LOL We went to craft show I saw hair bows and little monogrammed dresses I said see...I uses to dress you in that, now look...pure meanness.

Hey all! Bird I know exactly what you mean. I did that today. I was in the car on the way to some friends house to watch some football - I don't have the slightest idea how the game is played - and I'm sitting at a traffic signal thinking what I really want to do is drink the afternoon away. Crap. Just how boring can I be to want to do THAT? And at that moment the liquor store was within walking distance. But yu know what? It wasn't just tha alcohol, I would have settled for any sort of mood altering drug I think. So it was really just me being funky, not a reall AL craving. AL is just easy and legal. So I'm back home and I guess I'll have a cup of tea and call Britz and pester her. :H

MA too bad about the nationals but I bet it was exciting anyway.

I know ,I wish I still smoked pot...haha...oh yeah my almost 12 year old drives me nuts. Wonder how its gonna be in a couple years?? We watched Free Willy just now. I'd never seen it and it was really good. Nothing happening here except its getting very cold...bird

Hi All,

Greenie, I can relate to the feeling of wanting to drink or to take any old drug. I think all of us alkies by nature get easily bored look for some type of mind altering substance to help us pass the time away. For me, I would take anything. Alcohol used to be my drug of choice but I would do pot, benzos, whatever. I have to stay away from it all, even pain killers. My brain is that addicted. Not proud of that but that's the way it is.

I went to my mother's church today and sat with her dear friend. Gee she must be pushing 90 now. Gave her a pair of my mother's hummingbird earrings and a picture of my mother on The Great Wall when they went to China together (she probably took the picture). Brought tears to her dear sweet eyes. Mine too. My heart swelled and my spirit lifted out of the reach of the beast.

Luvie dovie..... Early birthday BBQ today and I bet something special happens at work tomorrow - the double birthday this year eh? LOL

Rachel Getting Married

Hi All,

I snuck away to see a movie all by myself today and it wasn't a kid movie. Oh, what a luxury.

The movie was "Rachel Getting Married" and I highly recommend it. It is all about the devasting consequences of addiction both to the individual and his/her family. It was quite entertaining too (not all dark).
