    HI Tex, good to see you post. I think moderating is possible when taking the topa at a level high enough to keep your brain above your alcoholism. I know some are doing it successfully and I am happy for them. Also, the topa works different for different people so some are able to get the results at 50mg some of us had to wait until 250 mg to receive. As long as i was wanting to moderate, I was failing because I didn't take the meds as I should. Being sober is awsome, and it is difficult. Awsome because it puts my whole life into another gear, but difficult because I am having to deal with a lot of things I didn't deal with when I was drunk. You are doing great and you will get to your goals if you continue the way you are.

      Hello all, got home from the beautiful camp wedding (weather was really nice too) and we're just getting ready to go into the city of Sault Ste. Marie for a stag and doe for my neice... I actually had a (1) beer yesterday and you know what ? I'm not sure what I ever did see in it before... A steamy cup of hot coffee with a clear mind blows it right out of the water !!! Tee !! Hee !!
      Glad you got your happy back Bear-gotta love that !!! No kiddin' we'll take right good care of you and mamma bear up here in Canada while we all have a wood splittin' B ! Heck I'll even ask my son to let you take his lil' pocket bike for a toot around the country roads !!! Oh my gosh !!!! I just got a visual of that and I'm seriously laughin'' !
      I'll have to PM you Toughintexas with my add. etc... But I do have to grab a shower now folks cause I was just out scoupin' Codys' stall. I have called those folks with the lame horse and she is still lame however they are trying to minimize her condition... I can't be considering buying a horse that will be lame. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Gramma used to always say "If it's meant to be it will be" and I believe. Gotta Go, Bye ~Niblet~

        I am so sorry about the horse Niblet, but Granny's know! I love mine to pieces. Mama started off rough today, but it has gotten better. Thanks for asking Bear. Hope everone's weekend is good. I have a b-day party for my niece today...love you guys!

          Hey niblet, I bought a lame horse once, and after a lot of love and care we got her back to a useable state. Not something to race or cut calves with, but just a good horse to ride. It was a morgan/quarter horse cross and she had been used in parade's as a flag bearer. Every time she would step on pavement she woudl start this quick stepping little trot that just drove me crazy. She thought she was prancing for the crowd, but she was beating my butt to death. Getting off of he pavement didn't do a bit of good, after she started, you just had to run it out of her.

          At any rate, time for my sleep. "See" you all tomorrow.

                    Bear isn't it funny how a horse will get themself in a "go" gear and that is it until they are "done" I know exactly what you mean... I hope and pray I never mount another horse in my old lifetime now like that again ! ha ! ha !
                    I'm just bursting guys !! Incase you didn't see my thread I did find a horse today !! I bought a horse from a lady I know so very well that does trail rides... Anyhow, she sometimes sells her older horses dirt cheap to good homes only and a friend connected us.. I didn't know she had anything for sell.. She is soo honest.. This mare "Milly" is a draft mix (I know !!) is completely sound and very quiet to ride... She is quite large so I will revamp my barn to make her a larger stall but I just love her... Although she is 23 years old she still deserves a wonderful loving home that I want so much to give her... We will share lots of stories as we plod down all our country roads together.. Boy oh Boy Cody is in for a very BIG surprise !!! He is gonna love the company.
                    From the farm we took a detour to our camp to double check for garbage etc... ( our Kentucky guest left for home early this morning) We visited with the neighbours that live in Indiana and I had 2 beers today...I actually didn't finish the second on atall... I feel comfortable with that and will moderate. Should it not "feel" right I will be great as an AF person... YAHOO !!!!!!!! Wonderful day !

                        Well.....I'll try....but not sure I could make it......not sure I even want to try...........but I will....just don't want to fail, so think I should start with 1 week.........

                          Welcome go2. sometimes comitting to a day is a challenge, I know, I have been there. If you can make a week, it would be great. by teh end of a week you will start to feel better If you can't quit completely, maybe you can cut down to start; that is what a lot of people do.

                                GO2....baby steps!!! Take it day by day...don't set a goal you can't imagine reaching. It is OK! Set an hour goal, then a day goal...
