Hello guys, I am going to have the steroid shot in my back this evening. I am hoping I will be fixed with it. If not he said he can give me two more in a series if necessary. I am doing ok, Ibuprophen is my best friend. Nibs, I am sorry you got left holding up the thread. I have had so much to do and I am getting around slow so my lack of time is compounded by the slow fact. I know eveyone is busy and enjoying their lives; isn't that what being sober is all about anyway? I will check in after the Dr. sticks me.

I'm saying a prayer for your relief of your pain Bear... So glad to hear that you are having such a wonderful time at the beach Luv !!! Tex is busy packing today too... I actuallly called her this am to order some LO and guys,,, she has the sweetest voice !!! Tomorrow I will be going away until Sunday to camp... With some heavy drinking friends, but I'm packing my supps and lots of really nice meals.. It's gonna be awesome !!! "Somebody has to remember what a good time we had,,, might as well be me and my my hubby" Tee !! heee !! I cannot wait to jump off the trampoline into the lake !!!!!!!! YAHOOOOO!!!! Hi All!!!! I did get a call from Niblet....OMG....she's the one with the sweetest voice! Nice to NOT hear a Texas twang, and just think, I get to hear another one in PERSON very soon! Watch out More2...here comes ya sister in crime! I am packing, altho, it looks like its so hot there, I may as well just wear a beach towel to wipe off the sweat! I'm not taking my puter, since More2 has hers, and heck, I'll have front row center support....Lord knows tho what the 2 of us can get into.... Nibs have a great time, I sent your package out today, sooooo great talking to you, can't wait to meet you too! LUV, glad you are having a blast as well, much deserved! Hello Accountable, nice to see you stop by. What?s up with more2 and boots? Boots said she would post on her cruise. And I guess more2 is safe from what tough has written. I've been busy myself, trying to find new things to do. I bought this old electric bicycle the other day. It needs a lot of work. But, I got it cheap. I figured it will be fun trying to get it to run. I have no experience with ebikes, but it looks like a good way to go when I lose my license. It's basically a standard 7 speed peddle bike, with an electric motor to help with speed and hills so you don't get worn out as quick. Hope I can get it to work. At least I'll learn a lot trying. Morrison, you are going to be a biker!! Cool Beans

I had my injections yesterday and my back is absolutely painless. The shots should last at least a week, and could be permenant. If the pain comes back in a few days they will do the shots again. They can do this three times and each shot will build on the others, so I am hopeful to get permanent results. If not, we will have to operate; and I am not so sure I like that.

Anyway, I know everyone is really busy and I just wanted to check in to let you know I am doing well and still sober. I did quit taking any pain meds today and abou noon my knees were killing me. I think my next project after the back will be my knees, then my shoulders. Hell I may come out a bionic man. lol

Morrison, sounds like you have a project......that should keep you busy this weekend.
The beach was nice...we went to Nascar Cafe, Medieval Times, out for seafood, beach, pool, etc...then hit the outlet mall yesterday on the way home. Mama did Ok...she got tired real fast so we had to let her rest alot, but my brother being there helped. We took turns staying with her...normally it is just me. So, the kids got to have Mommy alot for vacation. Everyone had a really nice time.
Hope More2 and Tex are having a blast!!!!

Baby brother just left...how sad that was. My poor Mama...was a very good week though and they spent a lot of time together.
I have gotten caught up on just about everything. Laundry, house, etc...have to clean out bird cages and I am done, house back to normal.
I sure miss everyone and hope you all are having a blast..

Hello everybody !!! Sounds like most of the "family" is back "home" !!!
I'm soooo happy that you have found relief Bear !! To sleep again and wake up without pain must be soo wonderful.. I pray it stays that way for you... Luv, I'm really glad that you Mama was able to enjoy all the outings you had planned.. You are an amazing daughter. More2 and Tex I just know you blonde bombshells are having the best of times together... Good Stuff !! I can't even begin to imagine the "Bootsie" stories that we will be in for !! Giggle !! Giggle !!
Morrison those electric bikes are really cool !! I've seen people cruise right up a hill with them.. Smart invention for sure ! I hope you can get it running like a top. Just think of all the money you are gonna save at the pumps ! Gas here is 110 per litre which works out to be approx, 4.50 per gallon. (my math is almost as bad as my spelling ha ha !!)
Our weekend was alot of fun !!! I'm really proud of myself in that I enjoyed swimming, going trail riding on the 4-wheelers and I basically behaved myself quite well... The weather was so nice and we enjoyed a bonfire at night... I do find that people are sooo Loud when they are drinking...I guess I was one of them at one time too... I don't judge people, but I'm just more aware... It seems so nice to be in a nice quiet home, checking in here before I have a tubby before bed... It's just so nice to be home. Hope everybody is having a really relaxing evening, Love you guys,

hello all. i forgot my password and stuff. hahahaaha so i'm traveling in cognito. hahahahaaha. dropping in. wow, it's like 50 cents a minute. so i'm uh posting and reading fast. stories coming when i return. glad some of family is able to meet up. and i wanna talk to nibs on the phone. hahahaha and tex and more and well everyone. luv i'm so happy you got to be with your bro. bet mama could hardly contain herself. this is such a beautiful and tough right of passage for us all with mama. bear how is that shot working for you? and my handsome mayor. well how's the cycle? hahahaha are you like a baby bear now? with your own scooter version? well, i managed to work so much before i left that i wore myself out so i just spent just about 24 hours in bed and well only part of it was play time the rest was with my best friend nyquil, her sister, kleenex, and their cousin sprite. hahahaa but we had a lovely time as we blacked out the curtains and slept through this cold i'm enjoying. alas, no naples as i didn't have the energy to walk that or pompeii. but i did enjoy snuggling with sick hubby. i will share one fun thing. we actually went to the orginial alfredo. as in fetucchini alfredo's and we ate like my only meal that day is at was to die for. oh my goddddd. so you have to really love rome and one can just never truly explain the collesium or st. peter's sqaure. vattican central which is 100 acre city all unto itself. i mean you can't explain it until you stand in the middle of it. but i have really fun stories to share later. for now, let me say that my three traveling companions all male from 3 different generations. are a hoot. we all have discovered our special talents
we have the navigator (he's 25), the worrier (he's 80), the warrior/photojournalist (he's 40) and tne priestess/historian (she's 47/me). we really could have a movie here. it is the funniest funniest show on earth. love you and miss you guys big. i would say i've gained weight cept getting sick tood all those lbs. away. hahahahahaahaha and happy to say never once have i been drunk or crazy or anything close like i would have in the past. in fact there are days i just never bothered. nice nice.love you boots

Wow, it is good to hear from everyone. Luv, I know you must be worn out from the vacation, you will need to take some time for yourself now. At least a little to rest up. More and tex, I am sure you have had a blast. I am glad everything worked out like it did. Nivs, I understand what you mean about it being nice to just be home (and my back is still doing great). Barbie, I am sure you are having a great time. I would love to spend some time seeing the world some day; I can tell you are having a good time. I am DRAGGING...got up EARLY to go in for CT SCAN with Mama, suppose to see if chemo is doing anything...well they did scan but we don't get results until Friday. I don't expect much though, she is in constant pain, cries all the time, is eating less and less. I am a bit depressed today. Very tired as she doesn't sleep at night.....she tries to be quiet but I can hear her up and down all night long. If the scan is not good they will want her to do a stronger/harder chemo and I just dont see how she can tolerate it. BUT I don't dare say anything as I do not want her to think I don't want her to do want ever she wants to do...I will take care of her no matter what. I just see her quality of life lessening and it makes me so sad. There were a couple of times on vacation I thought about sitting at the Tiki bar. The desire was there..STRONG. I didn't though, was afraid to. Funny I still try to talk myself in to it though...just have 1-2 glasses of wine. I had to literally make myself get up and leave the area for awhile. Remove myself from the temptation.
