Hi all and thanks for the warm welcome.I've been munching on kudzu I picked, it grows across the road. I think it is working. I haven't felt much like drinking but do think about it alot of the time. It is not that great tasting so I have been mixing it with other stuff. Mac and cheese I tried it with. Not too good but I am desperate to quit. Luv, I had a parrakeet once who would fly outside and come back and get in his cage. We also had a pair of finches once. Every morning when I'd turn on the light they would make this chattering squeaking noise. Well one morning I got up to quiet and wondered what was up. Looked in the cage and no finches.Looked in the bottom and there was a small oak snake. It had come through the cat door and ate my finches, then couldn't get out of the cage (too fat). The hazards of living in the jungle. Thats what its like here..for now,bird

OH Bird...how sad! If a snake comes in and eats any of my birds, I will die. First cause the birds are gone and secondly because I would completely freak out if there was a snake in here!!!!! Kudzu grows everywhere here too. I live in SC. I see you are in Georgia...not far from me. Welcome again...

For eg; If a person asks you to help them change a part in their scooter, put it in alright, but put the dang thing in BACKWARDS !!! Bootsie, you crack me up. I am really glad to have you back on the thread. I so hope you enjoyed your trip. Nibs, we all love you, you wear your heart on your sleeve where we can all feel touched by you. Luv, I could feel it that you were about to call. I knew I had to post. Last week sucked. I had an OSCHON (OSHA) inspection, I had to fire one of my guys, and another one got wrapped up in a drill and almost pulled his fingers off. Basically it sucked and I was in a whirl trying to stay on top of everyting. I love you guys, all of you; and that includeds you bird and resolute. Bear, well I said to myself " SELF..chill out", but after a few passing days, I started to worry. You know I try REAL HARD not to think bad thoughts, but it is so out of character for you. I know we have a good stent under our belts, but I know I still have bad days, when it would be easy to slip and if I did slip, I just think it would be hard to jump up from. Mainly because I would be SO SO disappointed if I did after doing well for a good bit. Anyway, I hate you had a sucky week, but I was so glad to hear from you.

I have a cold today but it sure beats being hungover. I kinda hope I stay sick a couple days cuz Monday will be hard being a holiday. Bear, I lived in Germany 3 years when I was a kid. It's really nice. Nibs, I would love to live in Canada.Don't they pay for your medical? And its so beautiful. geez...My kids are outside playing with the chickens. They have made a behavior chart where the chickens get put in the coop for doing bad stuff like pecking each other or getting too far away from each other. Think I'll go watch for awhile. This is the first weekend it hasn't been 100 degrees in awhile. later bird

happy bithrday moreto. sounds like such a special special day and i love the shower heads. i pm'd you about mr. contractor. so let me know. oh my gawd it is hot here. i wanted to hike the dogs at 7 a.m. and it was already like 86 and climbing to like 150. so i'm sitting in my undies and tank top on the couch contemplating having a day off. i decided to take the whole weekend off to get better. yeah me. oh and i'm afing. did i tell anyone? gosh i don't think i did. where am i at? 1 week? yep. well, tis time i think. but i need to find the lithium orotate. mine never came. so today i will go online and find it. hey mayor how are you>??????

Happy Sunday Everybody !!!

Hello everybody, we decided to stay home afterall.. Our boys had plans to stay in town with some friends and I would rather be home should they need us... I'm really happy things worked out this way because it is so nice to just enjoy our yard... So, for 2 nights in a row we have had saunas before hopping into the chilly pool.:shocked:

More2 I'll be checking out the birthday greeting that your talented son wrote for you... Sounds like your hubby bought you body sprays. Very nice... If we were near you my hubby could install them in your new home.. He's done alot of them in the new home constuction these days.. What a smart idea to install them in the beginning... You are going to require a 60 gallon hot water tank Hon , because once you get in there , you're not gonna want to come out.. LOL..

We have a saying here in Canada, " there are 2 sure things in life, you're gonna die , and you're pay taxes".. !!! It is breathtakely beautiful I gotta agree .. We have some folks that have camps near ours, and they travel upwards to 12 hours just to spend sometimes as little as 3 days at camp... I always feel so sorry for them on that... With the gas prices it makes it that much tougher too... How goes the grazing on Kudzu? Can you use it as a leafy green in a toss salad or would it be bitter? Happy munching...

Morrison, you must be feeling so awesome with your working out with others.. Isn't it great to share such a healthy hobby with people that maybe can teach you certain tips etc... As last week is over and done, this week will hopefully shape right up for you Bear ! You had a horrible week!!! So sorry about letting that guy go, but now he will find another job possibly better suited for him... You unknowingly most likely did him a favour, a tough one , but try to remember when you maybe were nudged out of a position or job... What came from that? A better job that suited you and yours I'm guessing... We all have had that happen....boy can I ramble.... Thanks for the caring words you said yesterday.... Hello everybody. I hope you all have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend. I've been working so much the last few days, I didn't post. But, I just read the last few pages, and it is amazing. You can just sense the energy in all the threads. It's truly unbelievable that the sobriety shines through in the posts. I could look at my own post or posts of others when they are struggling with the sauce, and it is so apparent. I hope that anybody reading this thread knows they can jump in, even if they didn't do 30 days. It just amazes me the difference sobriety makes.

Luv, I know you are going through such hard times, but you are amazing. Like Job, you endure so much pain, and never bitch and moan about it. You are here for us, and for that, I'm extremely grateful.

Bear, glad you are feeling better, and glad that you're busy. Busy is good. It is for me at least. I always bitch when I have too much work, but in reality, it saves me. You are the man. Our own gentle giant.

Nibs. When are you going to post the new niblet pics? I think little niblet and bird's avatar would make good friends, don't you? We should make a cartoon about it, and make millions. I think Birds avatar may already be a cartoon though. Shoosh. Another idea down the drain.

bird, I'm with you regarding the long weekend. It is so much harder, isn't it? But, we are all in this together, so post when/if you need to. Just fill up on some good barbeque food instead of the booze. That's what I always do. Then I'll have fun(not really, more like pain, but better than a hangover) burning it off later in the week.

Everyone sounds so chipper, Morrison, it DOES come through in the posts. I am so glad everyone is reaching their goal...whatever you goal may be. It is GREAT!!! I think the key is to keep posting, even when you have a bad day. No one is chipper and great all the time.
My Aunt and Uncle we here over the weekend, left a day early. Mama is not up for company. She never goes anywhere anymore, except the doctor. She is sleeping now 90% of the time. The other 10% she is crying. Her pain is under control, she is just so tired of being sick and is really ready to go, I think. She is down to 94lbs...they will stop chemo soon as she can't take much more. Her life is coming to an end! I just pray that the suffering stops. My Granny is coming back and some other family, so next weekend I will have a house full. Of course, my sorry ass sister has yet to come. She isn't coming, it will be to late..her loss. She will suffer for it the rest of her life. Guilt and regrets will kill you and she is going to have plenty.
Tomorrow Sept. 4th, is Billy's b-day. I will take flowers tomorrow. Always a sad time for me. His brother had a cross made, it is beautiful, we will take that too.
