Oh, forgot to mention. I don't know if they have this in Vegas, but she was on work release from jail. She had to do 6 months in jail(her 5th offense), but she was able to get out for work every day, just had to have someone pick her up and bring her back.

more2. I did research on Watkins, and he will attack victim's family members. Vicious!! I'm a bit worried though that with his rep, any prosecution would want to spite him, you know? I'm paranoid like that. I'll look into what he'll cost anyway. And you're right, if I had some double Ds, I wouldn't have double DUIs. And you women think you have it tougher than us men. You've been in the courtroom with Watkins? You live in Vegas? And why were you in the courtroom with just Watkins, judge, and prosecution? I don't even know who Kerns is. Or is this a quote from your sister? Please explain, cause I'm confused.

More2, I have never even heard of a salt water pool? Congrats on the house I am sure you will enjoy it.

Morrison, it doesn't matter how More2 knows or how she was there, she is giving you good advice. If there is some way to get this lawyer and he can get the charges moved to a lesser charge it would be money well spent. You are going to pay for it in the long run anyway. I urge you to do all you can to get the best, it could have a big impact on the rest of your life.

Morrison -- sorry about your woes ... I have being reading many posts & the advice you have received is good... remember that eash state has different laws... I recall us having a conversation about both of us being from Pennsylvania -- very different laws from the "wild wild west" my sister-in-law had her 3rd offense in AZ and spent 30 days in a tent city but was granted work release. As for me I was arrested in the midwest -- 1st offense happened on a Monday evening ... and I had to do a weekend in jail and pay hefty fines... also, they are all listed in the Sunday paper... ugh!!!!!! It will pass but it will sting and does still sting for me at times -- mine occurred 2 years ago-- it kept me AF for a good 3-4 months but since that intial trigger I have been struggling -- I have dealt with too many changes/ bumps all at once. This is my first day back after about a month away ... happy to be back... Liz

Home from bird shopping...I love this...they are so pretty. Have my own little aviary going. I will sit in the hot tub at night and and watch them...burn some candles...it is very relaxing...of course...then Zak runs out and jumps in, in his boxers......the birds go mad...it doesn't last long, but that little minute is good..HA HA

Okay, I'm now on day 3 AF. I feel like I'm really coming in late on this thread, so sorry if I'm sounding like I'm off on another tangent! Sorry to hear about the DUI's. Luckily, I've avoided that so far in my life. Planning to avoid that one forever! I'm feeling strong, but starting to crave a nice cold beer on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I'm going to resist, but thought I'd let you all know -- because I'm sure you've been there --and know how I'm feeling!

I did go to church this morning and asked again for guidance -- it was a wonderful service and it was very inspirational. I'm hoping to really change my drinking habits this time. I read another thread where someone was switching to abstaining because what was the point of drinking if not to get the buzz? I have to agree somewhat...not sure what I'll do after the 30 days. Anyway, this is a great website and I feel very blessed to have stumbled accross Roberta's book!

popping in to say hello and happy sunday. been a busy weekend. i can congrats on 3 days. for sure you can do this. you are a million times supported. we all need each other that is for sure. luv so happy the birdies are making you smile. and texas happy you are back from your trip and posting away. always makes me smile to see your posts. and more 2 again so happy you have your new home. what fun you are going to have on that project. and i'm going to take a bubble bath and figure out what to make for dinner later.
ahhhhhhh i think even splurge and turn on the t.v. heck it hasn't been on in a week. i have been at broker cram course and realized i need to really study i hadn't cracked that book in a month. so, boots has to put a new game plan together or she will not pass that test come september/october. so, i'm hitting the books next week. but tonight the new harry potter book came out. ahahahahahaha and papa bear thanks for your note. really sweet of you. i do really love each of you and i'm so blessed to have you all in my life.

Bootsie, glad to see ya this Sunday! You study girlfriend, whew, its hard huh...we have to have sooo many hrs. of Cont. Ed., and then we always want to know something new too, and I hate, double hate to study....GAG....lol.... Hope everyone is A-Ok today, I spent it hanging out, cooked brunch, then went to get a tenderloin, and have cut steaks out of it, they are marinating in porcini mushroom olive oil, and cinnamon, and a dash of run...warming to room temp....(don't worry about me and the rum, never drink it, and steaks aren't very tasty in Pinot Grigio, so I'm safe...lol...)....got the grill going...and have done my laps in the pool and my floatie weights, so I'm good to go right at the minute, just wish something decent was on the TUBE Bootsie.....wahhhhh reruns, I'm DVD Ocean's Eleven....
